You're a good recruiter, you understand the process, you know your sector, you understand your candidates, BUT… You're bogged down with KPI’s, or your commission is well below what it should be. You're not getting the rewards that were promised at the interview, there isn’t the progression that you want Your company doesn’t offer the work/life balance you need. You just want to be treated like an adult and rewarded accordingly. I get it! Because I’ve been in your shoes. Why do you need to make more sales calls when you have loads of great roles already? Why call more candidates when you already have the right people? Just so someone in Head Office can fill out the Excel spreadsheet to say you're doing the right thing! Recruitment is about placing people in great positions, not about ticking boxes. And don’t get me started on the Rec2Rec’s… “I’ve got an amazing opportunity based on your profile, can we talk later”? Sure you’ve heard that one before? Only to find out it wasn’t really the job you wanted and they were more concerned with filling their pockets than finding you the best role - that was my experience anyway… Rec2Rec Solutions was built from those experiences. My constant feelings of frustration with the industry and the total lack of support and care from Rec2Rec’s. I now dedicate myself to helping my clients find the right companies. I only work with recruitment companies that don’t focus on KPI’s - just results. They offer great basic salaries and commission schemes that are more rewarding, have a work/life balance, hybrid/remote working, progression, and much more. Do I place everyone I speak to - honestly no I don’t. But I will still give people advice and guidance even if I can’t help them right now. That’s why I am working with people I met 3-5 years ago but didn’t place at the time on either finding them a new role or hiring for their team.
