I’ve been a contractor, business owner, sales manager, sales rep, and have had a boatload of opportunities to stretch out and take on work that falls outside of those roles throughout my career. As a seller and sales manager, I spent 122 months carrying a quota at companies including Evernote, Outreach, and HubSpot. Due to a scorching case of burnout, I quit sales with zero plan in 2020 and spent 7 months landscaping my yard, watching The Handmaids Tale, and thinking about WTF to do with the rest of my career. Through some trial and error, I was able to settle into a new career as a Strategist which has proven to be my most fulfilling role to date. As a Strategist, I've been blessed to help companies like Verizon, Office Depot, SAP, Carbon Black, Blackbaud, and Cloudflare with their sales strategy. I also do freelance consulting after hours helping: - Founders who need to learn how to acquire clients (I'm looking at you technical founders) - Early-stage startups that need a sales playbook, and guidance as to how to operationalize that playbook - Established companies who've stopped growing and need to find new ways to drive revenue - Sales reps who want to develop their careers, pivot out of sales, or need help with a specific part of their process
