I learned much about myself through experiences of others and myself. Some years ago through an unexpected move to the San Francisco Bay Area, I started taking on skills I didn't realize are in demand, especially in sales. I originally had my sights on staying in life insurance sales. Whoever I could meet, I would gain their trust. Most of my managers couldn't believe that I started with knowing literally no one. I would also door knock, great experience, not that fruitful. The three year run came to an end. Still eager to stay in life insurance, I would look for different ways to communicate with people. Reality, communication ended up being a small piece. What ended up happening is that I built up a larger capacity to learn. I don't do things because of a long driving passion. I'm on the look out for ways to compete against myself.
