Quality Systems Specialist - Multi-Function - Composites and Integrations 

Heliogen

Verify incoming and in-process material meets Heliogen drawings and Quality standards. Inspection of material, the coordination of MRB activities, including to data input, reporting, and logistics associated with material dispositions. Calibration system ensuring compliance of measurement and test equipment. Works closely with Quality Engineers to provide reports, charts, graphs etc.  

Monitors and improve product quality. Inspection/verification of in-process, in-house and incoming (supplier) material drive actions to resolve nonconforming material through the Material Review Board (MRB) process to ensure tracked, dispositioned, and reported. 

Support root cause investigation/resolution of daily quality issues on the production line and receiving inspection. Provide data inputs to assist in quality improvement activities. Provide measurement support to identify or solve potential material issues. 

Trained to utilize 3D measurement equipment. Provides support for root cause analysis, identifying and implementing short/long term countermeasures. Audit the production-line to ensure adherence to manufacturing instruction and detect any potential escapes to the customer. Supports identification and elimination of variability and deviation from nominal specification. Cross-train and multi-task while understanding the business. GD&T and other process specifications. 

Analyze supplier quality data and partner with SQE to drive supplier quality improvements. Working knowledge of the use of inspection equipment, from hand tools such as calipers, blade micrometers and depth gages, to more advanced gages such as bore gages and CMMs. 

Reads and interpret quality documentation such as drawings, specifications, work orders, and work instructions. Working knowledge of MS office and Google docs.

Quality & Receiving Specialist - Production & Supply Chain

Supports Quality control team with structure inspections such as gap verification, sealing and coating, hole drilling, fastener installation and location. Inspections on cures, composites raw materials, F-18 production parts, F-35 parts and programs, E2D parts using a variety of precision measurement equipment and inspection such as micrometers, calipers, ball gauges, flashlights, mirrors, ohm meters, laser gauges and depth gauges, Mylar. 

Visually and physically inspection of prepreg lay-up operations, Fiberglass and honeycomb cores, flat and curved composites structures inspection. Inspection of repairs on composite structures, inspection on points and process documentation, resins, mixing, ratios and paste mixes. 

Logs into manufacturing execution system MES to determine jobs awaiting inspection on callboard. Worked with engineering requirements to locate and identify appropriate parts, assemblies to be inspected utilizing gauges, assembly inspection & recording results. 

First article/Tool prove inspection in accordance with AS9102. First article inspection of the Strike program and worked with drawings, specifications, and other documentation used for manufacture, inspection and test of the "first article". 

Numerical controlled tool prove process knowledge and authorized to perform preliminary review, completes Non-conformance tags with the exact details. Inspection of assembly diameter holes, contour checks, leak checks, poly count check, writing up tickets, depth measurements, tank winding checks, delimitation in composites, FOD, porosity and cure verification's. Monitors the process and ensures it is effective to provide the desired results, proving of machine control data, part qualification, equipment qualification, and tooling inspections.  

Composite inspection thickness, verification thickness points, ply count, measurements points, NOM, and tolerance range using thickness maps and ultrasonic equipment. Verification & inspection of materials.

Lamination of prepreg composite materials and wet layups. Handle and manage composite materials, consumables and tools required for composite and assembly shops.

Vacuum bagging operations for large composite structures. Laser operation for ply drops, hand lay-up of composite parts, prepare molds using shop approved release agent, remove air pockets using approved hands, squeegees, and heat guns.

Composite repairs under supervision of more senior staff, polish, deburr, and grind composites parts, clean, properly use acetone to clean tools and release as per instructions/drawings.
