Directed new initiatives to propel iFIT interactive content to the next level.

Pioneered new groundbreaking experiences, worked with hardware and engineering, product owners, and deepened our existing content offering by reimagining what and how our video content is consumed (built off the foundation I created as the original creator and director of iFIT’s global workouts and studio content).

Creative concepting, content strategy, partnerships and integration, testing and R&D, content development, and pushed boundaries into new and exciting forms of content (gaming, VR, animation, podcasting).

Managed a team of producers, creatives, and developers with a passion and vision for the future (while being mindful of data, budget, and creating a solid framework and process).

VP of Research and Creative Development 

Promoted by the company's Sr. Vice President and tasked with creating, hiring for, and managing a brand new department for content creation.

● Built and managed the daily operations of the team from 1 to 100+ full-time employees working on content creation.

● Developed a talent pool of 180+ world-class trainers. Including celebrity hosts and professional athletes.

● Grew content usage to 140+ million workouts per year (229% year-over-year growth) with over 4.1 million reviews from iFIT’s highly engaged community.

● Outlined yearly plans, goals, and utilized a significant budget for the creation of content.

● Presented pitches, KPIs, and analytics to executive officers and worked cross-departmentally with key stakeholders to grow the business.

● Directed and produced iFIT’s Live and On Demand class offerings from the ground up, including the selection, creation, and integration of our two original studios.

● Hired and trained specialized production crews from all around the world on our unique process to create experiential content. 

● Received a patent for help in the creation of “LiveAdjustTM” technology that allows user’s at home bikes, treadmills, rowers et al. to be controlled via our live video streams in real time.

Executive Producer / Director of Content

Worked directly with ICON’s Global Director of Marketing to overhaul the existing studio, transforming its use from creating lower-tier product videos to a full, in-house, creative agency capable of producing award-winning television commercials, high quality product videos that drive measurable revenue, and impactful social media videos.

● Supervised and managed in-house and out-of-house post-production teams in creating video media for multiple platforms including:

          »Direct Television Advertising (national and local broadcast commercials)
          »Television Programming (including HSN, QVC)
          »DVD (authoring media for widespread distribution, including Walmart)
          »Web (including Proform.com, NordicTrack.com, iFit.com, and AltraRunning.com) 
          »Tradeshows (CES, Outdoor Retailer, ISPO, IHRSA)
          »Social Media (YouTube, Vimeo)

● Recruited, interviewed, and trained several full-time studio personnel. 

● Identified and hired contract positions / freelancers in an effort to increase productivity and manage cost during peak seasons.

● Researched and submitted post-production related equipment for purchase including 48TB fibre server, backup server, color suite, custom PC, and MAC systems. 

● Assessed editing scheduling needs and freelance requirements by building a custom dashboard using project management software and cloud-based tools.

● Edited and finalized “Weider™ Ruthless” an ERA Moxie Award-winning TV spot.

● Maintained good channels of communication between our in-house production team and post-production team; comprised of editors, assistant editors, VFX/motion artists, a media specialist, and colorists.

● Advised marketing directors on video/budget related enquiries.

● Worked with in-house legal team and marketing to ensure branding standards and requirements were met for all videos.

● Distributed mastered video media to correct channels for more than 12 unique brands.

Head of Post Production

Utah State University

Designed, developed, and taught media design courses at Utah State University focusing on the creation and implementation of motion graphics and digital media assets via projection design. 

The topics and programs covered in the practical courses were primarily catered towards use in live, theatrical, and musical performance driven environments.  Students were also taught skills to apply the discipline of motion graphics and projection design into live broadcasting scenarios, events and trade shows, concerts, fashion shows, and sporting events.

The majority of students had very little, or no experience in the subject matter, but at the conclusion of the courses were able to navigate and manipulate assets in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
