However, let's go back in time for a second... I was born in Ecuador to an amazing mother that immigrated to the United States with the hope of providing me with a better life (I never met my biological father). Given the financial challenges, I was raised by my grandma up until turning 8 & that's when my life changed as my mother flew me to live in New York.
