Manage the quality assurance aspect of information security risk assessments completed as part of SWIFT's Global Security, Governance Risk & Compliance team. 

Provide independent operational (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability related) risk assessment activities that assist our internal customers and management in making informed decisions based on a risk driven approach, while assessing on-demand information security risks of SWIFT products/services being developed and identify key security controls and objectives. These risk assessments allow for the prioritization of investments and activities to manage business, operations, and vendor risks.

Experience as Test Director for Zumwalt Class Destroyer information assurance validation test events. Manage test events with team members (up to 10 people) spanning different organizations to ensure testing requirements are met to the guidelines set forth by the Security Control Assessor for the purposes of Risk Management Framework (RMF). Intimate working knowledge of all aspects and steps of the Risk Management Framework.

Experience with analyzing and evaluating the policies, access controls, management and organizational structures, operating procedures, and control environment of departments processing information on computer systems. Experience with advising and assisting in developing, implementing, and administering effective security programs.

Specific Duties include:
Perform Security accreditation and certification analysis and adhere to the processes in accordance with DoD and Familiarity with DoN guidance, standards, and instructions such as DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), Defense Information Assurance Certification and accreditation Process (DIACAP), and Platform Information Technology (PIT). 
Development and maintenance of RMF packages and the Request for PIT Risk Approvals, conduct vulnerability assessments, develop and execute security test plans and procedures, and facilitate accreditation decision from the appropriate approval authority.

Ensure System technical designs comply with IA requirements as delineated in the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) found on the DISA IA Support Environment (IASE) website, and that IA measures and design characteristics are correctly implemented. 

Develop and process requests for weapons system connections to shipboard networks. 

Provide system security impacts and record Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Statement of Functionality (SOF), and other technical and program documentation.

As Information Systems Security Officer, maintained a DoD Secret classified environment consisting of 10 assets. Responsibilities included weekly log viewing/maintenance, monthly anti-virus updates, as well as user creation/modification utilizing Active Directory. Worked as classified domain Tier 2 account support for an off-site enterprise environment in support of NSWC Dahlren's Naval Systems Engineering Resource Center (NSERC).

Worked closely with DevOps as part of cloud-based (AWS) security operations as well as participating in the Change Control Board to perform web application vulnerability scanning and system-level vulnerability scanning and analysis utilizing PortSwigger's Burp Suite Pro and Nessus Security Center. Monitor and report on security event logs in real-time from Amazon Web Services, spanning across NASA's Web Enterprise Services Technology (WESTPrime) network.

Provided artillery fire support for combat operations in Afghanistan from November 2009 to May 2010. As an artilleryman, I was also required to have a working knowledge of multiple crew-served weapon systems, communication tools, and military motor vehicles. Teamwork, timeliness, and the ability to respond without question under pressure were of up-most importance.
