Employed by Mayflex, my first role was to lead and drive an under performing Internal sales team who were lacking in leadership and motivation. During my first 2 years at Mayflex I have played a key part in the company’s growth and increased my internal sales team to 10 people from a team of
three that I inherited. 

• Focusing on growing, meeting and exceeding departmental revenue and gross profit targets across the Converged revenue streams.
• Ensure all quotations and enquiries are maximized by:
a) Ensuring cross/up selling is being conducted and
b) That they are all followed up efficiently and effectively.
• Have the ability and willingness to self develop in terms of product and vendor knowledge to ensure that the majority of quotations and queries can be resolved efficiently and effectively
• Increasing the number of customers who purchase across multi-product revenue streams
• Ensure that following training a sound understanding of partner vendor programmes and associated discounts are understood and retained
• Sharing of product knowledge to working colleagues
• Administration of quotations and orders including the registration of project opportunities
• Liaison with vendor partners ensuring Mayflex’ relationship as their “go to” distributor of choice.

My initial role was to assist with the marketing and product management department with all admin duties, stock ordering and price list maintenance. After 6 months I have progressed to Product Manager for 3 product brands.

•	Responsible for Product lines Chief, Unicol and CBS. Maintaining the stock profile, inventory data and supporting the UK Sales Team.
•	Central interface to sales for lead times, eta’s and basic stock related enquiries.
•	Creation of all new part codes on internal system and maintaining the correlating price lists.
•	Review all vendor backlog reports and ensure systems and sales teams kept up to date.

I returned to the Norbain business to be part of the setup of a new division, focusing on new markets, and opportunities.  From being involved in producing a new business plan and costing document, I took on the role of Account and General Manager.

•	Manage a team of two prospecting sales reps, targeting generation of  3 appointments per day
•	Proactively research customer database to generate sales activity
•	Responsible for generating weekly marketing activity
•	conduct regular review of supply chain, working with Stock team to ensure best availability, with least cost exposure
•	manage SupaVu returns policy and process, committing to guaranteed 24 hour product replacement.

2009	Norbain Salesperson of the Year award, achieving £1.2 million sales at 125% of target
2008-2009	Grew customer base sales by 40%, from £800k - £1.2 million


I had specific responsibility for selling network video solutions, conventional analogue CCTV products, access control equipment and intruder detection systems.

•	responsible for achieving individual targets including activity, mixes and margins
•	participate in regular training allowing me most up to date knowledge of the market and technical improvements
•	manage multiple customer accounts, with requirement to identify new opportunities and continue growth
•	create pricing policies and agree discounts for customers, through to production of final quotes
•	required to provide monthly sales forecasts and review of customer base



Sales Support Administrator (August 2005 – April 2007)
Achievements:
2006	Coordinated administration for 2 senior Field Sales Engineers, and their customer base of over £5 million turnover

Responsible for co-ordination of field sales accounts, providing administrative back up and support to customers ensuring an effective service is provided.

•	compiling training packs for sales team whilst liaising with Technical Manager
•	assisting in collection of FSE paperwork.  Itineries, call reports, forecasts, etc.
•	preparation and checking of quotes for FSEs
•	working closely with Purchasing Department to ensure stock backlog report maintained, and communicating this to customers to ensure high service levels

Internal Sales Engineer

Honeywell Process Solutions

•	Responsible for the input of customer orders, and production of Kanbans and order schedules
•	Point of contact for customer relations between Honeywell and its corporate clients
•	Checking of UK and European stock levels, and requisition of appropriate procurement orders to assist customer service levels.  Working with Production Planners and Product Managers to ensure smooth running of the supply chain
