Event Manager

The Hellenic Centre

•	Managing and supervising corporate and cultural events from conception to completion; dealing with outsourced providers, event planning and carrying out risk assessments. 
•	Project and budget managing of large-scale cultural exhibitions; sourcing suppliers; coordinating teams with sometimes competing interests while keeping timelines and stakeholders happy.
•	Building strong relationships with and able to manage expectations of multiple internal and external stakeholders of senior level (EB members, trusties, high profile clients and visitors, government and senior diplomatic staff).
•	Leading a diverse team of 7 staff members for over 6 years ensuring team growth by arranging and supervising training, guiding and motivating team members with high tenure level.
•	Monitoring and analyzing events performance and insights to ensure objectives are met and best practices kept.

Operations & Events Manager

•	Planned and executed a wide range of art events and exhibitions assisting in the development of the Centre’s cultural programme.
•	Developed event and marketing strategies utilizing social media platforms to maximize awareness of the Centre’s activities and to promote community involvement at the Hellenic Centre.
•	Communicated with prospective customers and assisted in event planning from early stage dealing also with agencies, venue finders, and event production teams.
•	Coordinated clients and suppliers for upcoming events and assisted with cost effective sourcing and pricing.
•	Involved in HR operations for about 10 staff members (shift arrangements, preparation of payroll, team coordination and training arrangements).
•	Processed a high volume of payments, invoices, receipts for accounting purposes.

Events Coordinator & PA to Director

• Provided high-quality customer service and information on venue hiring, cultural events, membership, language courses at the Hellenic Centre.
• Running daily office admin tasks including restocking office supplies, dealing with suppliers, sorting incoming mail and managing mail-out campaigns.  
• Responsible for archiving material of cultural exhibitions and activities.
• Established a photographic archive of all in-house events on own initiative.

Office Administrator

• Coordinated imports of total value of 5,000,000€. 
• Managed logistics for all overseas suppliers from order placement to warehouse delivery.
• Negotiated and secured agreements with suppliers on payment & delivery conditions, delivery dates. 
• Coordinated customs-clearance procedures and liaised with global & local forwarders. 
• Carried out monthly reporting on business commitments to all imports suppliers.
• Liaised with banks for timely settlement arrangement to ensure a healthy business cashflow.
