👋🏻 Hi, my name is Chris 👨🏻‍🎓I graduated from Jefferson Community Technical College with an Associate Degree in Information Security in Dec 2022. 🏞 Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania (near Harrisburg, the state capital), but relocated to Louisville, KY in 2014. Louisville is home to the Kentucky Derby 🐎 📚 I started in warehousing (for Exel - now DHL, 3rd Party Logistics) as an order picker at the age of 19. I quickly became a forklift operator and then a group lead. In 2014, the account that I worked for (LifeScan) was relocated back to a Johnson & Johnson facility (Shepherdsville, KY). I was one of only 5 people who were asked to consider relocating (3 being management) and ultimately the only one who did relocate. The transition of the business from one location to another was challenging, but I was able to help bring the level of service back to where it was before the transition took place. Since working for J&J, I have been a Warehouse Operator II and now a Senior Warehouse Operator. 💻 As for the future, I’m working on transitioning into Cybersecurity. Since October of 2021, I have earned certifications in CompTIA A+, Net+, and Sec+. In August 2023, I was given the opportunity to take on a stretch assignment with the ISRM team. 👟 In my free time, you can usually find me, my wife, daughter, and dog walking at a local park.
