Mentoring, teaching, and empowering others to find their own value has created a league of superheroes in their own right. Superpower #2: I am a super connector! Connecting people to each other, their communities, and to relevant organizations and resources in a meaningful way is at the heart of who I am. Understanding the power of me in context to those very connections has brought tremendous value to my personal and professional relationships and experiences. Relationship-building is key. Superpower #3: I am a storyteller. It’s not enough to tell people facts and numbers or rattle off a list. I don’t ask people to tell me about themselves, I ask people to tell me what their story is. Stories are what changes hearts and minds, and it’s the stories you remember, not the facts and figures. Superpower #4: I have an eye for details within context. To be analytical and exacting with details of a case, project, or dilemma provides for strategic processing and resolution of timely matters. There is power in understanding the context of a behavior, document, situation, or interaction.
