At the Zebra I had the good fortune of leading a tenured full-stack development team through the final stages of Agile adoption while executing multiple initiatives to launch new product verticals, integrate systems with third party partners and ad agencies, and prioritize Search Engine Optimization efforts. 

I also led efforts to organize quarterly engineering summits to increase cross-team collaboration, establish mentorship programs, optimize the CI/CD pipelines and associated processes, and tested strategies to increase remote employee job satisfaction.

A few key achievements in this tenure include:
 
- Partnered with marketing in the successful rollout of A/B and conversion rate testing to promptly update on UI/UX improvements, resulting in a consistent 5-7% month-over-month conversion rate spikes and a monthly return on marketing investment (ROMI) of 238% to 520%.
- Facilitated quarterly strategic meetings with executives, management, and operational talent to establish, prioritize, and staff quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), achieving over 90% of Zebra's Engineering Department's overall strategic goals.

Senior Engineering Manager

San Antonio Food Bank

Served as interim CISO and was accountable for the modernization of technology solutions for the oldest and second-largest Food Bank in Texas. Led efforts to maximize efficiency of technical investments and successfully scale the organizations response to an exponential demand growth brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

- Provided Program Management for all IT and Security projects associated with the construction of a 60,000 sq ft culinary center and special event space. 
- Partnered with Google Fiber, the San Antonio Public Library, and Feeding Texas to launch the 'Get Connected' Digital Literacy program in order to deliver access to and training on personal computers
- Completed an 8-week project to completely transition an annual, in-person conference to a 100% virtual event with 300 participants using a Cvent-based solution to enable healthcare staff to identify and solve patient food insecurity.
- Led digital transformation initiatives to modernize, secure, accelerate, and automate operations for multiple lines of business, including:
-- revenue (donations) operations via Salesforce workflow integrations and optimizations,
-- warehouse and logistics operations through proactive Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) process engineering and Dynamics
-- call center optimizations via migration from in-house PBX to VoIP (Ring Central), and
-- organization-wide efficiency gain by migrating from on-premises Exchange to a hosted Microsoft 365 environment

Director of Information Systems

Multiple SaaS and Hosting Organizations

Primarily responsible for "tunaround" process engineering and organizational change management to restore profitability to under-performing brands within the Scaleworks portfolio of companies. 

      - Served as project sponsor and mentored TeamSnap product owners as the in-house advertising platform and identity infrastructure were both rearchitected with an emphasis on shared components, federated user accounts, and application security. Solutions delivered by the team resulted in the most monthly downloads of the application in the company's history and changes to the advertising platform enabled partners and agencies to grow their ad revenue pipeline from $2.6MM to $12MM. 
	- Partnered with TeamSnap People Operations (HR) to establish a Career Ladder for the software engineering organization. This became the foundation for the clear definition of distinct roles and responsibilities for existing staff. This greatly simplified matters of ownership, accountability, and gave individuals the information they needed to successfully manage their own career progression.  
	- Spearheaded efforts to transition from inhouse invoice generation to a SaaS-based solution. Post-implementation, Mailgun was able to deliver customer invoices 12 calendar days sooner and with 80% less administrative overhead. 
	- Optimized new hire training for sales and sales engineering, enabling Mailgun staff to achieve full quota-bearing responsibilities 30 days faster than before.   
Provided program management and staff training to Keen.io account managers during the successful implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management solution (HubSpot) which automated recurring tasks and enabled AMs to double their account base without impacting customer satisfaction or support response times.

Technical Program Manager and Agile Coach

Rackspace Technology

Led organizational change management efforts for IT/Service Desk, Site Reliability Engineering, Product Development, and Product Operations departments for multiple strategic initiatives:
- Founding curricula designer and instructor at Rackspace University, responsible for the design and delivery of courses in Technical Customer Support, Incident Management,  Computer Networking, Windows and Linux Server Administration, and Cyber Security Operations
- Leader of IT Service Desk and Infrastructure departments as Rackspace grew from 2,000 to 6,000 global employees and as the organization attained company-wide SOX, SAS-70, PCI Merchant, and PCI Service Provider certifications  
- Provided program management for systems and staffing integration efforts in support of 9 separate acquisition activities (Webmail.us, Jungle Disk, CloudKick, AnsoLabs, Mailgun, ObjectRocket, SharePoint911, ZeroVM, and Datapipe)
- Engineered supply chain and infrastructure processes utilizing Design for Six Sigma methodology to acquire and provision critical storage infrastructure. New processes consistently allowed new equipment to begin generating revenue 80% faster while also achieving a 20% reduction in capital costs per deployment.
