For a long time it was hard for me to assert myself in my personal and professional life, so navigating relationships with people who had more assertive and aggressive personalities filled me with anxiety and stress. I was raised to not speak up to people in power and positions of authority and not to ruffle feathers. I did not want upset people. I would accommodate other people's needs over my own. Over the years, I have been able to refine a specialized skill set as a licensed therapist and a leadership coach that has helped professionals of all levels master their potential.
