Jane Evans's post highlights the true economic cost of this platform's algorithm change.

A platform whose promise is professional development, economic growth, business benefit.

I posted, 15 hours ago, about the new, badly-needed edtech platform my team and I are soon launching, MakeLoveNotPorn Academy.

That post, over 15 hours, got 598 impressions.

It reached just 0.4% of my 138,341 followers. 

I'd been counting on this platform to help me spread the word of that new product launch, which parents, teachers and schools have been asking me for for years. It's been in the pipeline for 10 years, which is how long investors have refused to fund it. 

It's taken blood, sweat and tears, and everything I have, to make it finally happen through sheer force of will, with help from a WeFunder campaign that didn't hit its goal, and the bridge funding I've been able to raise.

It's clear that when we do launch, very soon, we can't expect any help in making people aware of the launch, from LinkedIn.

We're building the solutions to the problems men post about on here and get hundreds of thousands of impressions for. 

They get visibility, massive followings and praise for 'thought leadership' for calling out issues while not doing anything to solve them. 

We post about female-lens solutions, and get hidden and buried.

None of us are chasing 'likes'. 

We're trying to build businesses. And the only platform that promotes itself as specifically for that, is actively stifling our voices, rendering us invisible, and impeding, not assisting, our economic growth.

I highly recommend that every single WOMAN in the advertising and marketing industry reads Zoe Scaman on 'The Stories We Need Now', the transcript of a speech she gave to Wade Kingsley's 'Creative Women' program.

1) More Human in two sentences?

More Human is an early-stage startup helping w****, NB and AFAB people safely self-screen for ADHD and autism. We aim to close the diagnosis g***** gap with Uma, the world’s first strengths-based self-identification service that helps w**** do just that.

2) Motivation?

I’m a late-discovered AuDHD w****  diagnosed with CPTSD. At 34, this left me very unwell and unable to work. Two years later I had turned this into purpose by co-designing a solution with 267 neurodivergent people worldwide.

3) How does More Human make money?

We’re pre-revenue and about to launch our pilot. Beta testers can self-screen free for feedback and validation, then upgrade at half price to support our mission.

4) Hardest learning curve?

Demand reciprocity. Stop giving your time and knowledge for free. Ask people to pay you.

5) Best advice?

My best friend, who died of breast cancer, told me her biggest regret was a decade in a toxic job. “Get out.” So I did. If you hate what you do, change it.

6) Exceptional influence?

My university dean, Dr. Peter Gregor, a mentor and lifelong friend. He told me, “If anyone is going to do it (Uma), Leanne, it’s you.”

7) Other startups that excite you?

NeuroNatal, Samphire Neuroscience, Level Zero Health, and Hystelica - they all help w**** in amazing ways.

8) Something unexpected about you?

I was invited to join Mensa at 10. If I’d been a boy, they might have picked up I was autistic. 

9) What is “success” to you?

A BBC headline: “Autistic w**** blows up extreme male brain theory.” :D

10) What can this community do to support More Human?
