Managed both a process design team and a process development team: Process design supports commercial projects through engineering design and technical support; Process development carries out short to long term engineering projects to increase efficiency and optimise key sub-systems. My main activities in this role:
-	Managed the process team through a commercial FEED for a 50 MW/300 MWh LAES plant in Manchester, UK.
-	Led the process department to achieve project deliverables and coordinate with external stakeholders such as EPCs, investors, OEMs, vendors, and industrial partners. 
-	Carried out ongoing development of system to improve efficiency, reduce cost and mitigate design risk. 
-	Liaised with commercial teams to improve and tailor technology to suit energy storage solutions in emerging markets. 
-	Key member of engineering team involved in technical due diligence culminating in a £35 million investment from investor Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI).

Process Engineering Manager - Liquid Air Energy Storage

Responsible for process design team to design and develop energy storage solution for commercial projects.
-	Responsible for significant process design improvements of Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) resulting in increase of system’s efficiency by 10%. 
-	Supported EICA team to troubleshoot demonstration plant in commissioning/operating phase at demonstration plant.
-	Led team carrying out validation work of demonstration facility’s thermal energy storage sub-system, reconciling experimental data from demonstration plant with proprietary process models. This effort increased sub-system’s TRL from 6 to 8. 
-	Responsible for overseeing process design deliverables from design team such as: PFDs, P&IDs, Heat and Mass balances, process/operating descriptions.
-	Technical lead on industrial/academic partnership with University of Brighton to develop and design a molten salts energy storage solution to be integrated in LAES process design.

Lead Process Engineer - Liquid Air Energy Storage

My time was divided working as both a design engineer in London office and working on site during construction and commissioning phases of 5 MW/15 MWh demonstration facility at Pilsworth, Manchester.
- Preparation, procurement, installation and testing of process instrumentation for demonstration plant. 
- Commissioning Support on the energy storage heat recovery system
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Witness of major equipment of demonstrator
- Process design and procurement engineer for a key packed bed thermal energy storage system at demonstration plant. Supported filling of vessel, instrumenting, and commissioning of this system
- Model development, experimental testing, data collection and validation 
- Developed initial computational models to predict energy storage test cell performance
- Process models, Heat & Mass Balances, PFDs, and equipment sizing and specifications

Mechanical/Design Engineer - Liquid Air Energy Storage

University College Dublin

Conducted an energy storage feasibility study as part of an academic/industry partnership with Irish energy developer Gaelectric. 
-	Built a process model of an Adiabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) system from scratch using Matlab software. 
-	Performed model analysis and optimisation studies on storage system.
-	Produced two studies on the CAES: the first significantly reduces NG consumption, while the second entirely removed the fossil fuel requirement.

Research Engineer - Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage

I'm interested in sustainable energy and helping to develop the solutions we now need to ensure a habitable planet in our future. My career to date has been focused on the roll out of energy storage solutions to help bolster renewable energy penetration and provide resilience to electricity grids.
