• Led creative direction for North America’s first surf park from launch through its first year of operation.
• Responsible for public relations initiatives, original media content, brand development, marketing, events, business development, and partnerships. Highlights include:
          • Garnered more than 650 thousand views for launch video featuring Hurley and Channel Islands athletes.
          • Secured exclusive three-part coverage from the New York Times preceding NLand’s 2016 opening, in addition to stories from ESPN, CNN, Vice, Outside Magazine, Texas Monthly, Surfer Magazine, and others.
          • Managed communications strategy through high-impact challenges, including construction delays, litigation, and season-ending damage to the park.
          • Negotiated, drafted, and reviewed music and photography licensing agreements, sponsorship deals with RVCA and YETI.
          • Led brand development efforts, including website, brand and style guides, merchandise, and photography, video, and graphic assets.
          • Grew Facebook audience by 5x and Instagram following by 15x relying on organic content and growth strategies. 
          • Maintained 65% open rate and 12% click rate on email marketing campaigns.
