As we reached nationwide coverage of the App in the US, I built out the communications function as revenues began to build with key communications hires and PR agency on-boarding and measurement. We acquired many new customers for the App through earned PR and kept KinectAir in the headlines with an industry leading share of voice for private air travel.

We launched the KinectAir software and network which makes summoning a small plane to an airfield near you as easy as hailing a cab or ordering your groceries. I acted as Chief of Staff (and Head of Comms) necessitated by team growth and changing priorities for the business, recruiting a CMO to take on marketing functions. I worked daily with the CEO Jonathan Evans to execute against our strategy. I continued to own the investor relations and fundraising for the business.

As as original co-founder of KinectAir, we set out to make on-demand private flights accessible to all. I worked to publicise the venture, developing the brand identity, positioning and fundraising strategy to launch KinectAir to the world. We raised crowd and venture backed capital to prepare and build the team and software. Since KinectAir was designed to be the operating system for the sustainble aircraft of the future, we developed partnerships with eCTOL aircraft makers in electric-hybrid and hydrogen advanced air mobility.

Founded in end 2017, I joined Dovetail Lab (consent based medical records exchange backed by blockchain) as an early equity partner. My role was to accelerate the profile and positioning of the blockchain startup with government, health and technology audiences. 

I built the narrative, branded the company and established marketing and political communications. We raised £1.5M in SBRI Healthcare funding to establish the software and Dev teams. 

During systems integration with key software providers in primary care, EMIS Group Plc. acquired a majority stake in Dovetail Lab, signalling the first UK exit for a blockchain health company, all less than two years after founding!
