A short-term contract role, I was responsible for the following:

•	Project managed a number of campaigns across all business divisions at once
•	Worked with the Head of eCommerce to implement the marketing strategy and activity calendar in 2016

Head of Marketing

As a senior member of the marketing team, I worked in tandem with a number of external agencies and internal teams to onboard and support our distribution network.

- Onboarded registrars
- Liaised between legal, tech and finance teams and registrar partner
- Grew registrar numbers from across globe
- Launched 45 new TLDs across three launch phases each
- Created content collateral across print, digital, web and events for regions as diverse as Asia, Western Europe and North America
- Recruited copywriter and designer(s) to pick up overflow of content needs during busy periods
- Created content for different audiences and stakeholders (e.g. ICANN executives, wholesale registrars, retail registrars, business groups, tech communities)
- Created acquisition campaigns for B2C purposes to ensure that registrars could simply “cut and paste” the collateral onto their sites to acquire customers
- Worked in tandem with PR and social media agencies to promote awareness and   engagement with our TLDs through social media and web properties
- Devised co-marketing campaigns and reporting on their performance
- Worked in tandem with Business Development to highlight key messages and sales opportunities
- Set up the Salesforce platform for Rightside marketing, tech, CS and business development teams
- Devised and implemented inbound marketing strategy using Marketo

I was the budget holder for all International digital activity and managed a team of three territory managers.  I also had the sole responsibility for the affiliate program and run multiple campaigns to drive traffic to our games.

-	Defined and executed the online marketing strategy for growing and optimizing new customer acquisition for the gPotato games released in Europe
-	Identified, evaluated and managed online marketing partnerships with CPA, CPP and revenue share models
-	Made data driven decision and providing detailed analysis of marketing spend
-	Continually experimented with paid marketing channels to optimize customer acquisition
-	Worked closely with PR, SEM and territory marketing to compliment any initiatives

I was responsible for a portfolio of 175 VIP affiliates.  I grew my skills to such an extent that I managed projects that were my sole responsibility.

-	Managed the relationship with individual affiliates
-	Managed remote affiliate teams in Bulgaria, Tel Aviv and Rome 
-	Acted as point of contact between all affiliate teams and tech team in Hydrabad, India
-	Acted as liaison between legal and creative teams and affiliates
-	Optimised websites’ copy and banners
-	Conceptualised creative campaigns for roll out across the affiliate network
-	Ran statistical reports to monitor progress
-	Integrated payment solutions with our VIP program
-	Worked with SEM and online media teams to support strategy
-	Supported retention promotions where possible
-	Developed affiliate strategy in line with overall marketing strategy
-	I was nominated for a Women in Gaming Award in both 2010 and 2011

Research Now is an international online research company and my role here was to work with the online media advertisers in various countries. 

-	Set up deals to increase acquisition of panelists
-	Liaised with Sales to find out if there are any specific target groups needed for recruitment
-	Set up email and banner campaigns
-	Negotiated deals with brokers managing affiliate networks
-	Conceptualised creative for media partners
-	Analysed stats to report on performance
-	Worked with media partners to tweak campaigns to enhance efficiency month on month

At PiggsPeak, I was responsible for increasing brand awareness and engagement for the brand.

-	Managed monthly events for VIP players

Online Media Marketer

VisitBritain

My position at VisitBritain encompassed the entire PR, media and marketing function.  I was
responsible for all communication material that promotes Britain to South Africans.

-	Devised and implement PR strategy for VisitBritain SA
-	Wrote content for VisitBritain website
-	Provided information to journalists and the travel trade, and reports to senior management
-	Ensured that all communication to the public was consistent with goals and corporate   branding guidelines set out by the VisitBritain head office in London.
-	Initiated large campaigns that received coverage in national newspapers and publications gaining exposure on all that Britain offers to the South African traveler.  I co-coordinated campaigns from head office in London with national and local media in SA, and was responsible for a certain amount of press coverage per year
-	Managed the VisitBritain intranet and internet and acted as the liaison between VisitBritain and the creative agency that managed our CRM campaigns 
-	Represented VisitBritain at exhibitions, consumer shows and on tourism bodies, and arranging media functions for this purpose  
-	Account managed airlines flying to Britain to maintain and increase industry knowledge and to develop campaigns highlighting to the public how easy it is to get to Britain 
-	Traveled to the UK extensively and presenting ideas and reporting findings to management and interested parties, such as UK car hire companies etc.  
-	Worked closely with Dubai office sharing best practice

This was my first position after university, where I formed my grounding for a career in
marketing and communications.  

- Assisted the Manager of Media and Public Affairs 
- Arranged press coverage for the 62 trade missions that visited South Africa each year  
- Organised coverage in Business Day and The Business Times 

In two years in the Media and Public Affairs department I gained over R1.5 million rand (approx. €150 000) in coverage for the trade missions visiting SA.  In addition to this, I also worked on VIP visits such as Prince Andrew visiting in 2002.
