Hello! I'm Claire, the founder of Musobloc, fun, effective, and affordable music education apps for children aged 5 to 11. Our first release, an engaging game, organically evolved from an ear-training activity I use in my lessons. It's become a favorite among the kids I teach, and the app version has been met with equal enthusiasm! Drawing from years of dedicated music education, I've honed techniques to inspire young minds and nurture their musical abilities. I'm always on the lookout for fresh and inspiring ways to make music learning more accessible and enjoyable. At musobloc, we believe in co-creation with our young learners, shaping the evolution of our products with their invaluable insights. My music education journey began in the early 2000s when I became a peripatetic music teacher in the Scottish Highlands, instilling a love for music in primary school students. I also taught in Montessori Schools, both in Ireland and Edinburgh, and found the Montessori ethos to be inspiring and effective. Currently, I teach violin and piano on a one-to-one basis and also tutor an adult learning group through the Scots Music Group. Beyond musobloc, I'm devoted to dispelling outdated notions of musical talent. I'm committed to creating environments where children are drawn, not coerced, to learn. I'm genuinely thrilled about the potential to make music education not only accessible and affordable but also truly enjoyable for children.
