Corporate and technology account director. Clients included St John Ambulance, Petrofac, Contact Singapore, Oriflame, The Consumer Goods Forum and University of Sussex. Previous clients include Tetra Pak, ACCESS, EMC and Callcredit Information Group.

This range of accounts demands a an array of core PR skills such media and analyst relations, to speaker engagements and award programmes. Material development plays a significant part in all client activity, creating anything from response statements, to opinion articles and corporate messaging. 

Key roles of responsibilty include PR planning, junior team management and EMEA coordination.

Account Manger - Account Director

Channel 4

One of six people selected for a pioneering mentoring scheme, aimed to improve ethnic diversity at a senior management level in the media industry. This was part of an initiative in partnership with Operation Black Vote. 

Over nine months I was mentored by senior members of the press and publicity team at Channel 4, including the head of the department. I was given the opportunity to participate in PR planning for current affairs programmes, providing recommendations for media strategy and drafting Q&As. 

I also fortunate enough to attend photo sessions with some of the Channel's 'talent', observing the creative processes involved in developing images that reflect both the programme in question and the Channel 4 brand. In addition I was given the opportunity to visit the dedicated Big Brother press office, onsite in Elstree, to experience real-time news generation.

Business Mentoring Programme - Press & Publicity

After succesfully completing the graduate training scheme, I worked on a range of B2B and B2C technology accounts. These included Plantronics, Pioneer and BMC.

I also branched out into corporate communications working with Orange Group and Tetra Pak. This role then extended to the Executive Communications campaign for Orange UK, handling analyst relations, speaker opportunities and executive profiling in UK national press.
