I swore I would never be in recruiting--spent 5 years post-college running away from the thought of *gasp* cold calling a candidate and selling?! But, after a brief pit stop in benefits administration and HR admin work, I spent 5 years in staffing (temp, temp to hire, and direct hire) where I supported high volume, biotechnology, health insurance clients, and more! I developed strategic skills in candidate management, client support, and the art/science of pairing a person with a business's needs. I moved into corporate recruiting where I have had the opportunity to add impact not just in sales, product management, marketing, and finance/accounting roles, but develop a team in talent acquisition, building the idea of recruiting from the ground up, and advise hiring managers in a challenging labor climate.
