Pro Connection is an independent service provider of Peer Support Programs (PSPs) for professional sports organizations to enhance the mental health and well-being support for elite athletes. AN OPPORTUNITY Professional and elite athletes have tremendous internal and external pressures to perform accompanied by their typical and atypical stresses of everyday life. A Peer Support Program enhances existing mental health support by bridging the gap between athletes and formal resources like doctors, therapists, psychologists, and mental skills coaches. A Peer Support Program promotes a positive culture by normalizing mental health and well-being and provides early intervention opportunities through a compassionate, positive role model and strength-based approach. Pro Connection employs former professional athletes who are specifically recruited and professionally trained as Peer Support Workers (PSWs) to provide dedicated support to athletes through positive relationships and mentorship. These connections offer a safe and comfortable environment for athletes to get help with a myriad of personal issues, concerns, trauma, addictions, rehabilitation, depression, anxiety, and stress management, with a person they know and trust. Pro Connection aims to partner with professional sports organizations to offer the opportunity to build a comprehensive support framework for athletes.
