She understands first-hand the outcome’s of not connecting, closed communication, and negative generational behavioral patterns. Coming from a family system that had little emotional awareness. Clemencia continues to acquire knowledge, skills and relationships that help her teach potential parents and active parents, including current and potential adoptive parents, about what it takes to develop Emotional Intelligence. She believes that healthy family systems are the remedy to disconnected and peer-oriented children. She works with individuals who are considering building families from fostering, adoption or IVF, providing hands on mentorship and connections to her vast network of mental health professionals, authors, and expert adoption advocates. She also works with ethical adoption agencies by providing them with resources, public speaking and consulting on best practices and how-to’s. In her 9-5 role, she is the Subject Matter Expert for the Childcare arm at the Texas Work Force Center. There she works with a team of mentors to help educate and train the childcare workforce in her area. In this role she collects data from child care centers so that the mentors and trainers can better teach staff and directors best practices for quality care. When Clemencia is not working, she is spending time with her daughter. They are both foodies and spend lots of time in the kitchen making delicious plant-based meals and snacks! She also enjoys yoga, being in nature, and getting her hands dirty by creating. ✨✨✨
