Usmc veteran serving from 82 to 90. Where i learned the dedication and leadership skills that I still apply in life to this day. I have worked in the AEC trades industry for 30+ years. I have been doing commercial construction work since 1991. I have been with the union since 2007. I started my construction journey at a very young age. At the age of 6 I was learning how to use a hammer, and hand saw when we were building my parents' house. As well as learning the design side of architecture from my father who worked for an architecture firm at that time. I have work experience with robotic total stations and other optics used in the trade, including programming robotic total station. I am familiar with Navisworks and other 3d modeling tools, Revit and AutoCAD. Concrete and trade specs with ACI. I have worked as a civil QC as well as a superintendent /material and equipment estimator/foreman and general carpenter in both industrial and commercial settings. I have spent some time in a project management position, so I have some experience with budgets and such. I am very much used to client relations. I have facilitated work with other trades and architects to get jobs completed on time/budget, in spec., and of a high quality. Have very good working knowledge of how all the trades do their work and can facilitate things with them to keep projects flowing. Even with things not always going as planned. I am always looking for the challenge and am very good at figuring out solutions for problems. I am always learning and expanding my knowledge of things in the trades. Classes I have taken mainly deal with project management and new technologies in the construction industry. I am very much safety and detail oriented. I love the architectural details in what I build and also in what I design for myself. I am an avid woodworker who does design builds and other work. I am also very much into dirt track racing, with the thinking and technology involved with today's dirt late model cars. In 2022 I am back partnering with my brother and some friends with a new 2 car team and will be trying my hand at driving a dirt late model besides just making them fast as we can. In 2023 I started talking and creating content to help others learn some things from my 30+ years of experience. And looking to expand that further. I believe that we must mentor and help train the younger ones in the industry and help promote the trades to keep the legacy our forefathers built going to grow this nation.
