Circular Economy Institute

The Ambassadors Program is for those passionate about The Institute’s mission to promote the highest standards of practice in the circular economy field. In order to shift from linear to circular, it is imperative to embrace the highest standards of practice. Renaming the same old procedures with the word “circular” is not OK. We need to redesign, rethink and rebuild our economies, and our Ambassadors and Alumni are working on it.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
 Managing Engineering Operations 

• Supervise Engineering in the absence of the Unit Engineer and Assistant Unit Engineer.
• Assist in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems (Fire Alarm System).
• Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.
• Establish and manage an effective rooms planned preventive maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures as set by the Engineering Audit Checklist.
• Manage the department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Select and purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings for efficient running of the resort.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of  the resort in order to determine the type of work required through regular walkabouts.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Supervises the day to day operations of Engineering.

Maintaining Property Standards
• Maintains accurate logs and records for utility usage, repairs etc
• Assists in effectively planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs, adjusting where need be. 

 Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
• Supervises employee's ability to execute departmental and property emergency procedures.
• Carry our performance appraisals and interviews for new staff.
• Helps ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
