Christian Müller's Linkedin Analytics

Welcome to my short self-introduction. I have a Master in political science and comparative religious studies which are maybe not that related to technology or data. But I set my focal points on information technology because I have always been tech oriented. My thesis, for example, was about the theorethical development of new online platforms of citizen participation. I concluded my studies in Tuebingen with the plan to go further into the direction of technology and data afterwards. But life went into another direction. So i got married, became father and moved to Belgium where I worked for the coming years in another area. During this time I was a co-responsible in our small family owned company - an organic bakery. What did I do there? Almost everything you can imagine: procurements, production, maintenance, deliveries, sales on markets and faires in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and France and more. But, like so many other companies, we were also affected by Corona. Not good but that opened up the opportunity to connect back to where I left my studies. So that meant, back to information technology, data and all these things. Thanks to the internet of today, it’s possible to do a lot of self studies. And that’s what i did. Coursera, edX, Udacity, Datacamp, etc.. I also participated in the formation “Chef de projet orienté BI et Data Analysis” at Technofutur TIC which took me much further. We covered for example: - Datawarehousing with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS - Reporting with TSQL - Reporting with Power Bi, Tableau, Qlik - UML and BPMN - Foundations of Business Intelligence - Foundations of Project Management with PMI - Methodologies Agile and Scrum We finished with a personal project which was in my case an analysis of Bikeshares in Washington DC (Soon to be found on GitHub). Regarding learning and personal development: Right now I am taking courses at the PCVO in Voeren to perfect my French (4th year) and also started with Dutch (1st year). Enforcing what I have learned so far and adding new tools to my analytical skillset is also an ongoing process. So Python is on the way and the next step is creating a portfolio on GitHub. And right now I am looking for an opportunity to dive deeper into the field. To put my skills into use by means of real world challenges and to help companies taking better decisions.
