I learned first hand how difficult it is to transition from an individual contributor to a front-line sales manager. I made every mistake. Instead of coaching and enabling my team, I took on too much. I was a "super rep" running around like a chicken with my head off. Then I got exposed to the world of executive coaching and saw how impactful the underlying techniques could be for sales managers. I grew in NJ, played football in college at Wesleyan University in CT, and move to Washington, DC after graduating to launch my big career in law and politics. After a stint on Capitol Hill and big corporate law firm, I decided to forgo law school, but had no idea what would be next. I reluctantly took a role as the first SDR at a small edtech company called Parchment, and fell in love sales. I went from SDR to VP of Sales in 7 years. Over that time I realized that empowering and coaching others to success was much more fulfilling than closing my own deals. I am a naturally curious person and I love learning what motivates someone and how I can best catalyze their own inner knowledge. It's this love that led me to leave the tech sales world to start Inspirewell. My wife, Vicky; our son, Harry; and our dog, Cooper live in the Petworth Neighborhood of Washington DC and enjoy spending our time hiking and cooking new foods.
