Vulnerability Thursday:

The hardest choice is often to go "All In" on yourself.


Two Months Ago, Caleb Howser and I had the opportunity to represent Howser Roofing and attend an Accelerent breakfast in Kansas City that was highlighted by a keynote from Gian Paul Gonzalez.


For my NFL Fans, Gian Paul was the "ALL IN" inspiration for the Giants during their 2011 Super Bowl run. 🏈 

And upon departure he gave us all one Poker Chip.

- Told us to write our "Why" on our chip.
- The thing / reason we go "All In" for.
- A constant reminder to do better.


Mine was easy.

My Family. ❤️


And it sits with me at my desk each day.


But the hard part isn't showing up for them.

It's the ongoing battle of making decisions.
Decisions for myself that will impact them.

Tough decisions.

Like the willingness to bet on myself.
To trust my gut instead of my head.
And allowing myself to trust others.


2024 will be a major season of change.

But I'm "ALL IN" on it.

And ready for what lies ahead.



P.S. Ran into Gian Paul at Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C. as we sprinted to make a connecting flight to Dublin two weeks ago. His simple, "I believe you'll make it" was appreciated during the chaos. And luckily we did. 😅  

Truly authentic person who lives out his message daily and definitely gained two big fans from us that day in Kansas City.

Hot Take:

People try to make Sales seem tougher than it really is just to keep you out the game or make money off your "lack of knowledge."


No matter the problem, field, or context...
it's always been about people.


Technical knowledge is nice.


But if you can't relate,
Day 1 sellers will outperform you.


P.S. I've drastically changed fields and sectors many times in my career and some of the most "seasoned" folks still don't get it. And unfortunately, they probably never will. 🤷‍♂️
