I hit 15,000 followers on LinkedIn hit last week.

But here's the honest story:

I started this account with zero audience, zero fancy title, and zero clue about "personal branding."

I just started making stuff.

Five years ago, I was delivering Doordash on a bike in Chicago and trying to offer websites to friends and family.

I filmed this whole video in 0 takes. With a photo and my ai voice.

This is actually kind of scary how good video is getting with AI.

I just basically cloned myself with a new model on FAL, and I also used Eleven Labs' audio of my voice clone for the audio. 

I'm actually very surprised that the quality that this video is outputting. 

It's the least AI-feeling video I've seen when it comes to AI avatar-style videos. 

Genuinely curious to know how people feel about imagining that they are watching a YouTube tutorial and they start to notice that the presenter in the screen share/talking head shots are actually AI. 

If you were getting the value and information you were looking for and it's factually correct, would you still be turned off by the fact that you're getting information from watching a video of AI?

Most people think you need the latest AI tool to make real money in 2025.

Here’s the reality:

My friend tried no-code with me, but it wasn’t his thing. 

So 2 months ago he started a painting business instead. 
No fancy software. 
No website at first. 

Just a 30-minute landing page and a Yelp account.

Now he’s already at $10K+ per month and booking bigger jobs every week.

Hist first job was $700, his next one was $9.5k! I was and am still amazed.

Another point to bring up is that my job is more likely to be automated before his is.

While everyone online is panicking about the next OpenAI release, his business isn’t at risk.

No AI update is ever going to replace a fresh coat of paint.

I’ve helped him with a bit of tech:
 🗂️ Airtable (free plan) to track jobs, customers, and assign contractors
 📝 Fillout (free plan) for customer forms
 📅 Vapi (free plan) for scheduling

But honestly, he’s still winging it day by day—and it’s working.

The tech is nice to have, but it’s not what’s driving his growth right now.

This proves:
✅ You don’t need every new trend—sometimes all you need is drive and a ladder.

 ✅ Attitude > tech stack.

 ✅ The most resilient businesses are often the ones you never see in your LinkedIn feed.

If you’re stuck, try:
 👀 Less scrolling
 💪 More doing
 🤝 Talking to people outside your tech bubble echo chambers

Some of the best opportunities are still “boring” businesses. 

Not everything worth building is threatened by the next AI model.

Product Hunt Rant: Forcing people to sign up *before* they even see your landing page is a conversion killer.

As someone who checks Product Hunt every single day, here’s what I see over and over:

Founders launch their tool. They get listed, I click the see more button… and then sends me straight to a sign-up wall without ever showing what the thing actually does.

Let me say this for the people in the back: if your product’s first impression is a login form, you just lost me (and probably 80% of curious buyers like me).

Here’s what nobody tells you about buyer psychology:

1. I’m NOT signing up for something unless I’ve actually seen it.

2. If all I get is a generic dashboard after login, I have zero clue what makes you different from the five other AI slide deck tools I’ve already seen today.

3. The best products on Product Hunt? They show, don’t tell. Demos, screenshots, pre-built examples. *Let me see the magic done FOR me before I have to do anything myself.*

Launching another AI presentation tool? Awesome, but don’t just drop me into an empty workspace and say, “Go wild!”

Give me 3 killer examples up front. Show me how your templates crush the competition. 

*Make me WANT to use it before you ask for my email.*

We’re living in an era of too many tools and not enough trust.

Don’t make your first impression a login screen.

Here's a win to go into the weekend

A clinical trial client of mine was drowning in invoicing.  

- Each participant had multiple visits  
- Each visit had multiple billable items  
- Before long, they were buried under hundreds of line items  

What’s been invoiced?  
What’s been paid?  
What’s overdue?  

Manual tracking was slow, error-prone, and stressful.  

So we built a simple, elegant system.  

✅ Airtable to organize participants, visits, and invoice items  
✅ Make to automate the flow of data  
✅ Intuit QuickBooks to handle payments and official invoices  

And here’s the kicker:  
⚡ The entire invoice automation is fewer than 15 nodes.  

The result?  
- Invoices went out on time  
- Payments came in  
- The client said it worked perfectly without a single hitch  

The lesson?  

Automation doesn’t have to be flashy.  
Sometimes the simplest systems are the ones that deliver the biggest wins.
