The mission of Fashion Week Brooklyn (formerly known as BK Fashion Weekend), is to provide a platform for local, national and international, emerging and established fashion designers. Founded in 2006 and produced by the BK Style Foundation, FWB is the longest-running bi-annual event incorporating fashion, music, art and culture in Brooklyn. 

FWB has showcased the collections of designers based in the USA, Africa, UK, Russia, Canada, Trinidad, India, Germany, Japan, Philippines, Australia, and the Middle East. FWB has been featured within a variety of mainstream media outlets including, the New York Times, Daily News, Glamour, NY1 News, MTV Networks, Bravo TV, Telemundo, Good Morning America and more.

Okay App

It’s Okay to ask...The Okay App, launched worldwide in October 2014, is the exciting fashion app designed by French fashion professionals, to help its members make easier decisions when it comes to choosing outfits.

Served as the public relations manager handling all media and press outreach for the app launch in the United States. Wrote and edited press releases, web content and newsletters.

The Mocha Manual Book Series

Acted as a Content Creator to Kimberly Seals Allers (Ebony magazine career/finance editor). 
Wrote first drafts of articles as needed.
Conducted research and transcribed interviews. Managed copy schedule and flow. 

Engaged readers of the MochaManual.com (a pregnancy and parenting lifestyle blog for African American moms. Mined social media for interesting content and trends. Acted as a guest blogger, researched and posted articles featuring health/nutrition and lifestyle tips. Created web-ready press releases to increase awareness of the first annual #BlackBreastFeedingWeek campaign in August 2013. Coordinated social interaction on Twitter and Facebook during the live #BlackLivesMatter tweet chat panel discussion, featuring an all-star line-up of prominent African American bloggers/breastfeeding advocates across the United States.

Selected America's top entrepreneurs, including women-owned and minority-owned businesses. Developed a rapport with C-level executives with a net worth of 30MM or more and coordinated 30-minute leadership assessments with Inc. CEO Project consultants, to evaluate their financial growth goals. Worked closely with the Inc. marketing department to publicize business networking events and the annual Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
