As the Vice Principal at Nova Academy, I advocate for the educational journey of students from China to the United States, which sets them on a path towards successful careers, further studies, and a fulfilling societal role. Parallel to my administrative role, I'm an Author and Consultant at "Leading Your International School". Our philosophy? Everyone in the educational spectrum, from students to leaders, can grow and evolve. Contrary to the belief that roles in education are interchangeable, I believe that each individual brings unique value to the table – a belief I stand by staunchly. With 13 years of experience under my belt as a U.S. (Virginia) Certified Social Studies teacher, I've specialized in AP Psychology, AP US History, and AP World History. Notably, in my prior role, all my AP Psychology students achieved an average score of 4.3, but what resonates most is the transformative impact on their lives, evident from heartfelt feedback. Beyond my main subjects, I've taught VA/US Government, World History, World Geography, and Eastern Civilizations. My approach combines simulation, discussion, and dialogue, which enables students to empathize with historical decisions and better equip themselves for the future.
