How I use Google Search Console to find "content upgrade" opportunities:

1. Sign up then in to GSC.
2. Go to the "Performance" area.
3. Filter results for the "Last 3 months".
4. Order Queries for Clicks then Impressions. 
5. Analyze and notice top performing keywords. 
6. Do the same for Pages. 
7. Click "Export" at the top for Google Sheets.
8. Open and freeze the top row. 
9. Sort by "Position" A to Z. 
10. Add a filter for "Position" between 5 and 25. 
11. Find the page ranking for those keywords. 
12. Create Upgrade Plan for each page. 
13. Publish the updates. 
14. Let Google do it's thing. 
15. Check results after 1 month.

Chances are you have content ranking #10 to #50. 

Why not try to get them to #1 to #10? 

It could be the difference in 1,000s of visitors. 

We're often too focused on new content. 

Advice: Don't forget about the old content. 

Put it on a pedestal.

2. Make a new Audit doc. 
3. Search the website. 
4. Analyze Overview. 
- Backlink profile
- Organic search data
- 2 year trends
4. Look at Referring Domains. 
- Relevant? Authoritative?
5. Review Organic keywords. 
- Ranking where they should be?
- Any opp's ranking #10 to #50?
6. Analyze Top Pages. 
- What's driving majority of traffic?
- Could UX be any better? 
7. Jot down all findings. 
8. Research keyword opportunities. 
- BOFU first, MOFU, then TOFU. 
9. Write out overall thoughts. 
10. Create SEO strategy suggestions.

#1: No One Is Safe

- All websites were put through the ringer.
- It was time for Google to do a BIG clean up. 
- Didn't matter if you were new or 10 yrs old.
- That will continue so be on your toes.

#2: Google Wants Top Quality Content

- Quality over quantity ALL DAY. 
- I've been saying it for years. 
- And it still stands true. 
- SEO comes back to search intent. 
- And the QUALITY of your content. 

#3: Impacts Landed Quickly

- Google gave no warnings. 
- If your site was flagged, it got hit.
- Simple as that. 

#4: Useless AI Content Was Hit

- Tons of examples of solely AI content punished.

I'm 34, I work from home, & I run 4 B2B businesses. 

It all started at 19 when I decided to be an "entrepreneur".

15 years later, zero full time jobs, & I'm still on a journey. 

Here's some highlights: 

Age 15-20: 

- Got my first job landscaping at 15. 
- Saw my cousin being an entrepreneur. 
- Started my own lawn mowing business. 
- Became obsessed w/ working for myself. 

Age 20-25: 

- Met my biz partner, Nathan Hirsch, in college. 
- Started drop shipping products on Amazon. 
- Became obsessed with eCommerce.

Age 25-30:

- Scaled to $12M ARR in 4 years.

- A euphoric, but confusing moment.

Age 30-34: 

- Thought my wife & I were going to travel. 
- Covid hit & we were stuck inside. 
- Nate & I started Outsource School. 
- Got lost in investing & crypto books.
- Experimented w/ advising businesses. 
- Founded EcomBalance after mo's of research. 
- AccountsBalance naturally came next. 
- Took Justin Welsh's LI course. 
- Committed to posting 365 days in 2023. 
- Created an SEO newsletter. 
- Launched my SEO course. 
- Started TrioSEO to help biz's w/ SEO. 
- Making SEO simpler for millions.

It's been a whirlwind of ups & downs. 

Some days it's unicorns & rainbows.
