Financial Planning Coordinator

• Responsible for account and facility set up and maintenance on the system of record, data management, validation and reporting of loan level and derivative information for each assigned portfolio.
• Act as conduit for system maintenance requests, queries and correspondence between Capita and Client ensuring timely and accurate responses and an orderly flow of information.
• Generate all loan documentation resulting from changes or modifications to existing terms which have been approved by Credit Committee or under Delegated Authority.
• Reviewing loan documentation for critical elements and entering pertinent information onto the servicing system; including interest rate calculations, payment structure, trigger events etc.
• Responsibility for reconciliation and reporting of cash, arrears, accrual and borrower exposure positions to ensure key issues are identified and escalated accordingly.
• Responsible for providing clients with bespoke reports detailing various aspects of relevant portfolio at pre-agreed intervals and / or as specified under Service Level Agreements, 
• Responsible for responding to inquiries regarding specific portfolios in a timely and professional manner to ensure complete customer satisfaction both internally and externally.
• Implementation of internal controls is sufficient to effectively manage risk and minimise the potential for operational loss.
• Assist in ensuring that a comprehensive, up to date register of process and procedure documentation is maintained.

I work in Home Mortgage lending and Funds release within lending services in AIB. This role has provided me with extensive knowledge within the mortgage sector in Ireland.

My day to day role would involve been in the whole process of the release of mortgage funds, liaising with branch staff who in turn contact customers, speaking with mortgage solicitors in relation to any queries they would have prior to the draw down of funds and working closely with our underwriting department so as to reduce any risk prior to mortgage draw down. 

In recent weeks I have been liaising with Private Banking and building relationships with key members within the department in order to escalate release of funds and to be improving the customer service experience that we deliver all the time. 

At present, I am training to become fully competent with Commercial Banking client portfolios and the process submission of applications into the system 

Operations Work:

- Management of queues to ensure daily deadlines and Service Level Agreements are met
- Organisation of and chairing team meetings and report feedback to management
- In my short time with the AIB I have already had the experience of training new members of staff on the day to day activities we do. 
- My role is essentially to facilitate the release of mortgage funds to customers while also avoiding any unnecessary risk to the bank in doing so.
- Managing the process of Commercial and FSG mortgage applications 
- Acting as an escalation point for customers and credit managers through the normal application process.
