Soon, we'll build on this accidental success to create the leading travel resource for everyone remote working and traveling in Africa.

Worked directly with the COO and Founders to build GrowthMatch's content team for their B2B thought leadership packages.

Work delivered included:

Living in Kigali is the #1 resource for English-speaking residents of Kigali, Rwanda. 

Working on the business part-time, I was able to:

✅ Added additional revenue streams (incl. featured business listings, banner ads, and affiliate marketing)

Managing a team of 10-15 fully remote freelancers and full-time staff across a portfolio of 8 English and French-language websites in numerous niches. We're responsible for producing long-form "pillar content" (5,000-10,000 words per article) aiming to be the most comprehensive content on any given topic, including: 

- Cybersecurity and data privacy
- Health, diet, and lifestyle
- Internet marketing and e-commerce
- Personal finance
- Environment
- Social justice

I'm responsible for taking the content from a keyword on a spreadsheet and managing the entire publication process, including research, writing, editing, graphic design, final QA, publishing, and outreach. At any time, we work on 30+ such assignments simultaneously. 

As part of my role, I have been responsible for building the team and processes from scratch, including onboarding and training new team members, creating all related SOPs, setting up the cloud infrastructure and communications, and much more.

Content Manager (English and French Pillar Content)

I have worked closely with the ethical hacking/cybersecurity research team to publish press releases for distribution to journalists on major news and tech websites. 

I'm responsible for taking highly technical reports and creating easy-to-follow but comprehensive press releases that anyone can understand. Along the way, I also created numerous templates to make the writing and editorial processes more efficient, improving the turnaround time for assignments dramatically. 

Part of a link-building campaign that has been described as "ingenious" by leading industry commentators, our press releases have secured thousands of links from "Tier 1" websites, including the BBC, Forbes, Techcrunch, The Guardian, Wired, Bloomberg, The Telegraph, and many more.

Ghostwriter for Ethical Hackers

I joined the team to help write new affiliate content, edit and improve older content, and test the leading consumer VPNs to ensure they lived up to their sales pitches. 

At any one time, I had 6 VPNs running on my laptop, jumping between servers to test their speeds, user-friendliness, and other features. 

This role also allowed me to build on my previous SEO writing experience, writing product reviews, buying guides, and case studies in one of the most competitive niches.
