The past year has made one thing clear to me. 
We are in a moment when certain human skills aren’t optional. They’re survival. 

Creativity.
Voice.
Play.

When I stepped away from my corporate role to care for my mother, people reached out because they had watched me burn out, destroy my health, and rebuild. 

They wanted help with life design, how not to burn out, how to show up fully. 

Communications has always been the through line in my career. I’ve coached and developed leaders through transitions and pivots. 

I’ve built internal communication systems in organizations. I’ve spoken, written, and led through change. 

And for the past 15 years I’ve also trained in positive psychology, well-being, and play through improv.

Over the past year, working with founders, executives, and TEDx speakers, I saw how sharing wisdom, finding your voice, and pushing for visibility are not just nice to have. 

They are essential. 

I saw how they reclaim your agency as work and life collide more than ever. 

My TEDx experience changed me. It lit a fire to help people tell truths, be seen, and own their stories.

Memorization is one of the biggest concerns that come up when I’m coaching TEDx speakers. 

It was my biggest concern when I did my own TEDx because I’m an improv comedian. 

I am most comfortable on the spot making it up as I go. 

But some things require intention and memorization so I’ve built a toolbelt. 

Here are some of my favorite tips.

I never stop being amazed at the magic that happens when we do play sessions. 

I love getting to be a part of teams sharing belly laughs, connecting in new ways, and learning tools that they can take back to work and share. 

We had such a great time last week in Chicago with this super special team. I was so inspired by learning more about the amazing work they do to support families.

Last week, we had the joy of partnering with the incredible team at Ronald McDonald House Charities for an interactive session designed to reconnect, re-energize, and reimagine what leadership and collaboration can look like during times of growth.

Using the 𝙋.𝙇.𝘼.𝙔. 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, we guided their team through a series of creative, laughter-filled challenges that encouraged deeper connection, flexible thinking, and collaborative decision-making.

From shared storytelling to working together, we saw what’s possible when people feel safe to show up, speak up, and build together.

Big thanks to the RMHC team for saying “Yes, And” and for reminding us all that a little play can unlock a lot of potential.
