Wadi.com is an online marketplace with a wide range of products for the people of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

As Interim CFO, I accompanied the restructuring from a grocery store to an online marketplace:
+ Participation in P&L: 90 million USD GMV, 28 million investments,> 200 FTE; reduced EBITDA loss by >50% and reduced liabilities by >80% in 3 months
+ Creation of a corporate strategy, fundraising materials and maintenance of contacts with existing investors in order to enable the management of the fundraising by the CEO of Rocket ME (ongoing)

Jeeny Order is the third service extension from Jeeny and enables the delivery of food and goods in KSA through an app.

During my work as General Manager, the monthly growth could be increased by >80% with the same budget.

TeleClinic

TeleClinic ist eine Telemedizin Plattform, über die in Deutschland zugelassene Ärztinnen und Ärzte, MVZ und andere Gesundheitsdienstleister telemedizinische Leistungen erbringen können.

Mit mir als Head of Operations konnten durch die Entwicklung der Unternehmensstrategie, Organisationsstruktur und Management sowie die Erstellung von Fundraising-Materialien 7 Mio. EUR in Serie A Venture Capital (Beteiligungskapital) gesammelt werden.

Unter meiner Leitung von Vertriebs-, Marketing- und Betriebsteams mit >30 Mitarbeitern konnte ein monatliches Wachstum von >15% erzielt werden. Ein neu gestalteter Einstellungsprozess führte zu einer Kostensenkung bei neuen Mitarbeitern um >20%.

Durch die Einrichtung einer schlanken und skalierbaren Multi-Channel-SAAS-Vertriebsorganisation konnten Leads um >400% gesteigert werden.

As a technology company from the USA, Uber is known for driving services. Other services include: food delivery, parcel delivery, couriers, cargo transportation and, through a partnership with Lime, electric bike and scooter rental.

During my work as Interim COO, I was responsible for Russia P&L: >500 million USD GMV, >100 million net investment.
+ Operational and financial turnaround resulted in a merger with Yandex Taxi worth USD 3.7 billion
+ Increase in market share from <20% to >35% in H1, which resulted in a 37% share in the new company
+ Improvement of the weekly losses from USD -2 million to USD + 150k in H2 after taking over all functions (finance, ops, marketing, support), 100 FTE and >1000 temporary workers

Strategy & Planning / Interim COO

My duties as central operations manager in South Africa included:
+ Management of the expansion markets Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana in order to become the fastest profitable markets in EMEA with 6 FTE, >20 temporary workers. Ghana overtook Nigeria as the third largest country in SSA, despite being established 2 years later.
+ Redevelopment of the pricing strategy to become a global best practice model. This led Kenya to >200% growth, positive ROI in 8 weeks, second largest market in SSA. Roll-out on 4 continents, >20 cities.

Uber was launched in Germany under my direction:
+ Driver acquisition (B2B/B2C), driver marketing and BizDev to develop an incubator program that has produced >300 SMEs
+ Development and implementation of an internship program, hiring and management of >10 interns

In this way, central e-commerce products, services and infrastructures are set up that support and scale every e-commerce business model from start to finish. aCommerce focuses on marketing, technology, procurement, logistics, warehouse management, order fulfillment and delivery, content and photo production, payments, customer service and channel management.

3-month project to set up the company for the first time:
+ Set up warehouse operations
+ Development of the first same-day delivery fleet in Thailand
+ Redesign of OMS / WMS / ERP to increase speed and efficiency
+ Direct management team of >10 employees, responsible for all processes

Lazada is a multinational e-commerce technology company founded with the support of Rocket Internet.

From July 2012 to June 2013 I managed projects in three corporate divisions:
+ Revision of the processes in all areas (ops, support, marketing, etc.) in order to increase the dispatch on the same day from <10% to >99%, the highest value of all 50+ Rocket Internet Ventures outside ofGermany
+ Improvement of the Net Promoter Score from <-5% to over 50% by redesigning various customer service, supply chain and marketing processes
