I spent ~20 yrs in the Silicon Valley tech industry at Apple, IBM, Yahoo, eBay, various startups, and founded my own startup, too. I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Rice University. We helped people discover the power of authentic storytelling. Before that, I was a Product and Design executive at a number of tech companies in the Bay Area of California. At Yahoo, I was the VP of Consumer Products for Yahoo Search, leading a team of product managers, designers, & developers who were focused on creating world-class Search experiences. Before Yahoo, I was a Director at eBay, where I led another great team focused on multiple products for Tailored Shopping Experiences, Platforms, and International sites. Earlier in my career, I was a designer at Apple Computer, where I worked on the Finder, OS, and International software; and IBM, where I worked on database and development tools. I was also the principal consultant for MindSpan Design, an interaction design agency where I worked on desktop, web, and mobile solutions for a variety of startups. I received my Ph.D. in Psychology from Rice University, where I developed a coaching system for training software users. I hold several patents, which include design work on web-based products and hardware solutions.
