Minty Lab is like a laboratory, but for fashion brands. Do you need a website? They do it for you. Will you need someone to keep up the good job and deal with your marketing efforts, drive traffic and sales into your store? We also responded to that. All in one house!

⚈ The workflow was hard and challenging at first and I was surfing on it, delivering results and even helping the owner with new business strategies. Helping brands achieve higher results with CRM, automations and segmentation strategy or through a well-design digital strategy with measurable goals and tracking systems was one of my remarkable milestones. Left due to poor people management. Not all stories have an happy ending.

🚀 Got myself busy launching a marketplace for ethical and sustainable brands. Enrolled in an Entrepreneurship Training and Contest: Empreende Já. Not frequently, but sometimes Portuguese Government has good ideas. Had the training, got the funds!

➝ For all of you thinking in big pre-seed investment. Nope. It was 10.000€ that needed to be enough to support my business launching, plus my own salary for 2 years and still be on the green light regarding the company health. Deep learnings on business plan construction, budget management and results reporting
➝ Negotiated with + 100 brands
➝ Launched the product, an WooCommerce store
➝ Produced all content and managed the product portfolio 
➝ Boosted sales on ethical cosmetic brands in more than 20%
➝ Launched and managed social media channels and all paid media campaigns

⚈ 1 day I heard, being a founder is like jumping from the highest point of a mountain and learn how to open the parachute along the way. Or you do learn it before you hit the ground or you don't. I did not. Pandemics wasn't that helpful either, but who isn't seek of lame excuses? That's the raw truth. I did not learn how to open my parachute fast enough to keep my venture alive, but I rooted some good knowledge on e-commerce that I took as a big asset to my next challenge.

🪩 When entered Brabbu and Covet Group, forgot to google for Menina Design and all old employee claims. Not the company culture I was expecting. So, did what all the venture moms do, kept learning and working for a year, helping the group and brands under my responsibility growing. When I had my 1st chance of quitting, I did. 

Meanwhile, we must keep the show going and I like to leave things better than I found them. 

➝ Created and executed go-to-market strategies for 4 brands in 4 different markets
➝ Created continuously website optimization for Maison Valentina´s [CRO strategy]

⚈ Was invited to visit clients and the brand showroom in London, enrolled in a team group to showcase our products in London architecture firms and helped to manage the brand showroom for 2 weeks. The clients are amazing, as it is all brand products. None of them need to be blamed for the bad company culture. To all architects out there, I mean it, the products are incredible handmade in Portugal. And it was inside that good vibration that I left the company.

Also, what to do in order to keep productive, focused on my learnings and achievements in a toxic environment. That one still amazes me till today, Pinterest is so underrated.

After a phone call from the Rock Star of Marketing and Strategy Susana Coerver from Parfois and a straightforward interview with my new boss I left my safe and comfortable position at Boehringer, accepted a momentary downsize of my salary while I proved my worth. I was 100% focused in coming back to Marketing Management and Business Development roles that sounded solid challenges.
