Oversaw Controller, Division Finance heads, FP&A, Treasury/Risk Management, Tax, Credit and Shared Services, and a team of 150 people in total. Acquired by Pilot/Flying J.

CFO for Digital Media, including Kindle, Video, Music and Audible.com (subscription-based model). After six months, gained additional finance responsibility for the physical Books e-commerce businesses in North America. Led finance effort that helped elevate Kindle from a single, first generation product available only in the US to a business offering multiple devices, accessories and services, and substantially more content, through multiple channels and segments, worldwide.

Third largest in US PC market (NYSE: GTW), with 2007 revenue of $4.0 billion. Helped turn around the two troubled of its three divisions. After four months, gained additional responsibility as Corporate Treasurer. Successful turnaround and sale of the Professional division gave Gateway a Consumer-only focus, paving the way for a sale of the company to Taiwan-based Acer.

IPWireless

Helped build and finance a next-generation, broadband Internet access service business across the US (comparable to Clearwire) and complete development of proprietary technology in the UK. Company narrowed its mission primarily to UK business to preserve capital by 2002 and later was sold to NextWave Wireless. Also led several other start-ups during this time, including COMMON.net, an online and mobile business networking application.

Crown Cork & Seal

Global consumer packaging industry leader, with 250 factories in 50 countries, and $9 billion in revenue. Led treasury/finance, M&A, FP&A, risk management, IR, pension investments and corporate communications. Played a key role with CEO and CFO in designing and implementing a successful consolidation, restructuring and capital structure transformation strategy, resulting in significant stock price performance in excess of the S&P 500 from 1991-98.
