I collaborated with customer stakeholders and senior managers in strategic planning and implementation of their technology goals. I would then develop the approach to meet the goals established. I also supervised 15-20 teams consisting of 75-100 developers and quality assurance resources. I developed the leaders and processes for these teams to achieve a 99% customer acceptance of all deliverables. 

Led the delivery as company grew from $2MM to $10MM over a period of 4 years.

Created an order management system for a large manufacturing company using MuleSoft, Informatica, Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Web Applications, improving customer delivery dates from 25% to 80% in the first year.

Designed and delivered process automation initiative for a Health Care Insurance customer that allowed internal staff to manage a 20% increase in customer message volume.

Led multiple customer Azure/AWS cloud migration engagements and solution implementations.

Led the implementation of an iOS field service application deployed to over 30 countries for use by hundreds of service technicians that reduced duplicate service information by 50%.

Designed and built data platforms for multiple customers in technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and MS Fabric.

Chief Delivery Officer

I led the practice which focused on improving time to value, predictability, and quality for customers. It included guiding customers in organizational strategy, portfolio prioritization and agile execution of projects. These improvements touched every phase of the Software Development Lifecycle. It also included working with business leaders to understand their role in software delivery and how to best support delivery of value sooner.

Coached multiple development teams in financial industry organizations that included mainframe support teams, web enablement teams, mobile application teams, integration teams and IOT development teams.

Drove implementation of organizational changes with customers on 75 different software development teams across 10 different customers. 

Implemented a Program inception model at a large healthcare technology organization that resulted in improvement of project delivery success.

Developed project/program intake process for large Health Insurance organization used to evaluate the ROI of all new initiatives that resulted in 20% improvement of project delivery success.  

Provided agile coaching and mentoring for 75 different teams across 10 different customers to include a Financial Services Company, three Health Insurance Companies, Payroll Company and a Global Sustainability Company that resulted in higher quality outcomes and time to market improvements.  

Evaluated and implemented multiple agile scaling techniques at different companies to include SAFe, Disciplined Agile Delivery and LeSS.  

Created a Coach the Coaches approach for customers that resulted in organizations creating their own internal processes for scaling their delivery improvement projects.  

Developed Project Wargaming as a technique to improve the efficiency or release planning meetings and their outputs.

Senior Director - Coaching and Process improvement

Led multiple onshore and offshore software teams as well as contributed directly to customer projects. The teams ranged from just me to 9 developers.  

•	Achieved Java Certified Developer and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer certifications.
•	Built an e-commerce platform targeting deployed soldiers using both Classic ASP and Microsoft .Net.
•	Built MS Visual Basic Application and Web Form solution with MS SQL to help automate a Yield Management solution.
•	Led the enterprise search team for PTC Windchill using Java, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle Database and RetrievalWare Index Search.

Software Development Manager

Minnesota Army National Guard

Served as a assistant S3 (Operations) Officer for 2-135 IN in Mankato.  Was responsible for planning and coordinating training and operations plans for 500 soldiers.

Served as a company commander from Aug 1999-Aug 2001.  In this role, was responsible for a 120 person infantry company that was stationed in Owatonna and Winona.

Accenture

Created detailed designs for systems and system interfaces using a variety of technologies.  Created training materials and conducted training for end users for multiple applications.  Supervised the creation and execution of test conditions and test scripts as well as coordinated the process of fixing bugs found during testing.  Created Lotus Notes databases to collect personal satisfaction surveys for internal use by Accenture.

Process Optimization Consultant, Healthcare

US Army

Multiple roles that included Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Assistant S4, Brigade Planner and Company Commander. These roles were in the 82nd Airborne Division, 2nd Ranger Battalion and 3d Infantry Division.
 
•	Achieved designation of Master Parachutist, Expert Infantryman and Air Assault.
•	Led Platoons during Hurricane Andrew Support and in Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti.
•	Brigade Planner during 3d Infantry Divisions rapid deployment to Kuwait as part of Operation Desert Thunder.

As a technology leader, I am passionate about solving complex problems and developing high-performing teams. I leverage my combined experience in the military and technology to empower teams to clearly define success, articulate a solution, manage expectations, deliver incremental value, and adapt to evolving market demands.

My focus is helping Software, Product, and Project leaders in Manufacturing, Logistics, and Professional Services who are managing 1–5 delivery teams and who want to improve time to market, delivery of value, reduce emergencies while operating within constrained timeframes and budgets.
