I love people and I love business challenges, so there is no better role for me than leading an HR team rooted in an empathetic approach. I spend my days helping my employer launch creative, human-centric solutions that not only overcome operational obstacles to drive new profits, but they also ignite employee engagement, morale, and overall satisfaction. I strive to be an always approachable and fully empathetic leader who maintains an open door to the workforce. By maintaining this two-way relationship with the employee population, I stay in sync with what operational influences are impeding their path to success and work to proactively break down these barriers to deliver a positive and solidly productive team. Whether it is a business process or a cultural issue, I provide the vision and counsel that steer organizations in the right direction. Oh, and I am a die-hard hockey fan, so you know that I can remain calm and steadfast, even in the most stressful of situations! Some notable contributions include: ➜ Managed a first-rate Remote Employee Culture Experience and rolled-out the “Remote Work in The Tech World” to People Ops employees from various tech firms across Victoria, including Workday and Amazon’s Abe Books division. ➜ A critical member of the Global HR Team throughout worldwide offices in Canada, the U.S., U.K., and Australia. Delivered double-digit employee engagement results year-over-year by executing a thoughtful talent approach, consistent strategic business priorities, and demonstrative employee engagement practices. ➜ Drove a culture focused on anti-bias treatment through ageism. Attended the Culture Amp Culture First 2019 conference in San Francisco and facilitated a training module on anti-bias treatment from the platform presented, receiving 100% employee participation while also reaching a new population. ➜ Powered the organization's position on non-mandatory soft-skills training by presenting sessions on “Feedback and Feedforwarding, Respectful Workplace," “Impactful Compensation Conversations," and “How to Speak to your Direct Reports about Performance,” resulting in 100% employee engagement and increased leadership accountability. ☛ I enjoy chatting with industry colleagues, so let's connect! ☚
