As an in-residence entrepreneur, my mission was to drive the Digital Services area to optimize the internal processes, focus on the customer experience, instill product vision through the teams, and lead with a start-up mentality and agile methodologies.
I implemented KPIs to measure the performance of different products and make data-driven decisions on roadmaps, and product iterations.
I implemented  DevOps As a Service based on Multicloud architecture that was an MVP used by Santander Bank.

Digital Services Director

I was in charge of maintaining technological operations up, with an external company, I had to detect IT problems and report to the external IT service desk.
I noticed that paying to an external IT service desk was 40% more expensive than creating my own team, so I've created a project to migrate the service to the internal team, I presented the project to CEO and got the mission to implement that, getting 35% saving in department costs, and I was promoted to Digital Services Director.
I used, Open Source Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Amazon AWS, and Azure Cloud to support the company's requirements.
I made a partnership with Microsoft to be Azure Reseller.

I drove the company from getting its first customer to getting 12000 customers in 2 years, and getting successful Cyber Day and Cyber Monday events supporting 300.000 visits in the first hour.

I implemented a FIS Payment solution (Payment Engine) in the most important Chilean Banks like Banco Estado, Banco de Chile, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones (BCI), and I had to report to IT Manager located in Charlotte, NC.
My responsibility was to detect and resolve performance problems (software and Database bottlenecks, Network issues) with the Electronic Fund Transfers systems, and I increase the EFT's performance by improving the services to final customers.

I had the responsibility to design based on the development roadmap and support System Administrators in the implementation of the brand new architecture.
I coordinated several areas, Development, Ops, and Customer Experience.

I was the first System Administrator in the Company, and I had the responsibility to keep 99,9% uptime in SaSS architecture. To achieve this, I learned and implemented IT best practices and high availability using methodologies like ITIL and technologies like DRBD, HAproxy, and distributed databases (PostgreSQL).
I've used Solaris, Linux (CentOS), and FreeBSD servers, implementation and management of Exchange 2003 servers, PostgreSQL for Databases and Nagios to services monitor implementation, and DataCenter Administrator.
