London South East Colleges

The LRC’s have a wealth of information and quality resources, to support the learning potential of the whole London South East Colleges community, across the curriculum.
This includes: books and eBooks, online resources, journals, study skills, staff support, computers and laptops, internet and wi-fi, printing & top-ups, stationery, assistive technology, VLE and Teams, password resets and much more.


Achievements:
- Updated/modernised most posters, leaflets, guides and the newspaper in the library including the ALS (Additional Learning Support) team poster.
- Organised the library supply cabinet and display drawers for more efficiency - time and effort-wise.
- Cataloguing, processing, shelving, loaning & returning resources as well as all desk duties done very well.
- In charge of creating displays for mutiple events throughout the academic year such as Black History Month, Food Banks, Rememberance Day, LGBT History Month, Mental Health Awareness Week, etc.
- Participated in the Christmas and Easter Food Bank Donation events where Councillor Sandra Thomas judged the competition, picking the best 3 Food Bank hampers. Greenwich Foodbank Trussell Trust Charity Retail Royal Borough of Greenwich!
- Participated and oversaw charitable events such as MacMillan, Helping Children In Need, RNIB stamp donations (which helps make a difference to blind and partially sighted people), Christmas and Easter Food Banks, as well as donating books (or raising money for a charity that keeps children safe by selling the books for £1) and signing students up for the local public library which is slowly creating a partnership with our college library to aid students with their futures even more. 
- After 1 month of being part-time, I became full time due to quickly learning everything that was being taught. 
- After 8 months, my contract has been extended for another year although the contract was supposed to end after 10 months.

Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Support Assistant

Teaching Assistant

Located in the College's Student Hub, I was responsible for guiding/advising new or returning students and applicants in their class registration and processing their applications. In 2022, the college combined the in-person and online enrolment methods into one and took the best parts from both methods to make the enrolment process easier for the learners, making the application system run smoother.

Enrolment Assistant

Located in the College's Student Hub, I was responsible for guiding/advising new or returning students and applicants in their class registration and processing their applications. Additionally worked in the call centre due to the efficiency of the work I proved to have done. This job required the successful candidate to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as having good IT knowledge and administration skills. 

Achievements:
- I was recommended to work at the College again by my former employer from 2019. I did not work there in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, otherwise it would have been a pleasure.

Holland & Barrett

Required to:
- Attend to the customers and advise them on their health needs and necessities.
- Supervise and manage my team.
- Do the financials/banking for the company.
- Deliver KPI's and daily/weekly/monthly targets for the company.
- Keep the store up to store standars (clean, fill-up, face-up (aesthetic), organise)

Achievements:
- Completed QTA+ training (Qualified To Advise Certification) after the 1st week of work (this training takes a maximum of 3 months to complete). This qualification is equivalent to an A level.
- My store has received a bonus within a week and a half of my hiring due to successfully managing to deliver the targets and KPI's as well as products that were on offer for the time being (e.g. Manuka Honey).
- 2 weeks after being hired and trained, KPIs were either on target or above the target.
- After 2 months, I was required to train new staff members.

Supervisor

I have assisted a Mathematics teacher during some of their classes during the week days either during my free days or after my University lectures/labs and would often attend an IT workshop on Saturdays where I would continue my Teaching Assistant experience.

Wood Green Shelter

Working as a sale assistant and customer service volunteer helped develop retail and customer service and communication skills as well as proving my efficiency in organisational skills and further improving my time management skills.

Multiskilled individual with the potential of succeeding in various departments due to the diverse skillset and experience acquired.

Gained business skills and knowledge from University and an online MBA course which I have a certificate for. 

Gained administrative skills and experience from working as an Enrolment Assistant.

Sale assistant/customer service experience.

I am bilingual; fluently speaking English and Romanian. Intermediate French and Spanish knowledge. Basic communication skills in Japanese, Korean and Polish.
