I'm a freelance art director and multidisciplinary designer that specializes in creating expressive, upbeat work that connects with you. Initially, I got my start working as a product designer creating experiences for a variety of apps and enterprise software in the startup space, so you can say I'm passionate about the story from the start. I then moved into the art direction role on the ad agency side. On the creative front, I have experience art directing 360 campaigns, TV spots, social, digital, experiential, and print campaigns for a variety of brands, big and small. Picking apart those human truths to make advertising feel less like "advertising" is what I'm all about. On the flip side, I sometimes, too, get art directed when agencies and brands pull me in on lettering and illustration projects. Some select clients include Adobe, Allbirds, McDonald’s, Instagram, Nike, IBM, Billboard Magazine, etc. That’s to say I’m unique in that that I can both art direct and be art directed. I can work with clients in a way that is engaging, encouraging, and fulfilling. When I’m not doing any of the aforementioned, you can probably find me painting murals or working on a new book project. My murals can be seen on the streets of Chicago, and my books Hand-Lettering for Everyone and Adult-ish are available through Penguin Random House. So, let’s work together!
