Reporting to the Vice President of Business Analytics, Curtis leads a highly engaged team of data scientists focused on delivering scalable machine learning based solutions to drive both business growth and value. Curtis is also responsible for the team's product vision, strategic roadmap, and implementation of analytical frameworks for Data Science initiatives such as personalization, customer journey analytics, propensity modeling and insights.

►	Develop and implement Python based price optimization models for multiple lines of business, resulting in increased revenue and profitability
►	Utilize machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and data visualization tools to build robust and scalable models for detecting operational related anomalies

Manager, Data Science

As a member of the Personal & Commercial Banking Performance Management team, Curtis was responsible for developing and deploying scalable econometric models that supported Enterprise Stress Testing. Curtis had a direct impact on strategic business decisions with Enterprise Stress Testing being a primary decision-making tool used by senior management, Finance executives, and the Board.

►	Developed and deployed large-scale time series based forecasting models to project volume growth across Home Equity Finance, Personal Savings and Investment, Credit Cards, and Business Financial Services

Senior Manager, Financial Modeling & Analytics

As a member of the Investor & Treasury Services Business Intelligence team, Curtis was responsible for developing and supporting data driven solutions from concept to production. Curtis also supported Executive decision-making by identifying key insights through statistical analysis and data visualizations techniques.

►	Analyzed large structured and unstructured datasets using Python, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch
►	Leveraged unsupervised machine learning techniques (k-means, DBSCAN) during EDA initiatives 
►	Developed regression and NLP based classification models using Python (pandas, NLTK, scikit-learn, XGBoost)

As a member of the Financial Reporting & Tax team, Curtis prepared financial statement packages for investment fund clients including Sun Life Financial, Manulife, CI Investments, and Educators Financial Group. Curtis also liaised with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

►	Developed business process automation scripts with Python, R, and VBA frameworks
►	Managed the effective delivery of multiple parallel work streams leveraging cross-functional teams
►	Coached and mentored a team of data analysts on how to use Python and R to automate manual processes

Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Tax

As a member of the Financial Reporting & Tax team, Curtis supported the preparation of financial statement packages for investment fund clients. Curtis also saved over 2000 FTE hours on an annualized basis by developing a variety of business process automation scripts with Python, R, and VBA frameworks.

►	Researched and analyzed in detail, the accounting and tax impact of corporate actions (including complex corporate actions) affecting Funds and prepared the recommended tax treatment

Analyst, Financial Reporting & Tax

As a member of the Corporate Sales team, Curtis regularly negotiated client contracts and responded to incoming sales inquiries. Curtis also led department wide initiatives to simplify and automate various internal processes.

►	Collaborated closely with the other sales functional areas including Agency Sales, Marketing, and external parties to help execute team marketing collateral needs, tradeshow components, corporate & group sales events, and the creation and distribution of the quarterly corporate newsletter

As a member of the Retail Banking team, Curtis executed financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, and wire transfers on behalf of clients. Curtis also engaged clients in conversation to better understand and meet their short and long-term financial needs.
