My role requires proficiency in a wide range of technologies, services, and advisory methodologies utilized within the Practice. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), I offer industry-leading expertise, strategic guidance, and support to fellow team members, current engagements, and prospective projects.

In an advisory and implementation capacity, I work closely with both prospective and current customers in pre- and post-sales scenarios to expand our customer base. I collaborate with our sales, delivery, and practice leadership team as well as other solutions and other practice architects to promote purposeful innovation, a culture of customer-centric work, and to enable colleagues to innovate and reuse successful ideas.

As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on Continuous Quality (CQ), I was responsible for completing software development tasks and test automation, documentation, and the creation of testing frameworks and solutions. I was also responsible for planning & designing exploratory, integration, and functional tests, executing them, and then reporting their results. As a Lead SDET, I wrote test cases that worked well in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and used various tools for Test Automation, Project Management, Test Management, Service Management, and Code Analysis.

During this time, I worked on projects for United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and Veterans United Home Loans (VUHL).

Project: Core AML System Replacement

Situation: We were tasked with assisting in the migration from an in-house AML platform to NICE Actimize.
Task: We needed to create a cost-effective solution for automated system configuration validation.
Action: I joined the project after it had already started. Once onboarded, I reviewed the code and identified several flaws in our automation and shared my findings with leadership. I then created and implemented an action plan to address these issues.
Result: I transformed a non-functioning test suite into a reliable, accurate solution that could be executed on-demand and in a variety of contexts while achieving a 231% return on investment.

Lead SDET (Continuous Quality)

Facilitated the implementation of the SportsEngine for the team to improve the organization’s public profile, accessibility, administrative and communications abilities, and visibility of team events and initiatives.

Provides administrative services (player info management, feature utilization analysis, site updates, implementing new features, accessibility validation, etc.) as needed.

New Balance

Designed, implemented, extended, and continually improves and maintains New Balance’s test automation framework.

Implemented concurrent automated functional testing for both web browsers and mobile devices for 28 different countries, saving 150+ hours of execution time per test cycle.

Integrated test automation framework with third-party test automation tools and APIs (such as JIRA, Zephyr, SalesForce Commerce Cloud OCAPI, JMeter and Sauce Labs) to enable faster test execution, continuous integration, results visibility, analysis, cloud execution, and API and Performance and Load testing.

Designed, extended, and maintained test data database to facilitate data-driven testing, records keeping, results analysis, and metrics collection.

Designed & implemented APIs using express (node.js package) to facilitate test data mastery, ensure automated test suite reliability, and facilitate continuous integration.

Designed & implemented reporting tool to demonstrate value of framework, thereby saving up to 1 - 4 hours of analysis time per test cycle.

Orchestrated & executed strategic and development effort for holiday preparedness testing; primary development resource and strategic contributor to ongoing performance and load testing effort.

Mentor quality assurance professionals new to test automation, both within and outside of my organization.

Test automation lead for offshore SDET resources, helping with code reviews, troubleshooting troublesome scripts, and facilitating discussions between team leadership, developer, and DevOps resources.
