My name is Cyndal, it’s from a Star Wars: An Ewok Adventures Not Mortal Kombat, although Sindel was a bad boss with that scream and her hair! I started out flipping Pizza at The Hut and then moved into Neurodivergent Education. This is where I found my JAM! As a paraprofessional, my teacher gave me a lot of freedom to create my own lesson plans for students! It saved the organization a ton of money by not having to outsource it to a 3rd party! Using my research skills I found evidence-based research studies on Neurodivergent education, Behavioral education and social emotional education anf more! I adapted my lesson plans from those studies! Even more awesome, I was able to gamify the services and got kids and the teachers excited about learning again! In 2022 I had to leave The Center because my own Neurodivergent Tinys were failing, and the school wasn’t doing anything about it. So, I came home to be a stay at home mom and restructured what we were doing here to keep up! (That was pre diagnosis. Now one is on honor roll and the other brings home some pretty snazzy grades!) While we were restructuring, we quickly found out, there aren’t that many educational websites that are accessible for Tinys! Also, not very many websites and apps teach the goods that MY Tiny populations needed to know! (sadly, the ones that are out there are insanely expensive) What’s worse, not very many parents know how to teach this stuff, and not every ND parent/caregiver is all comfy with advocating for their loved ones! (No joke, this stuff is hard work!) That's where I come in! I’m working to change that narrative (and that price point!)!
