Krystal Nights

Bristols premier Shisha events and hire service providing shisha event management to private and corporate clients. 

From a single pipe hire, through to a managed event providing shisha to hundreds of people Krystal Nights is the chosen brand in the South West for shisha events and hire.   Previous clients include Channel 4 and Bristol University as well as private weddings, birthdays, mehndis and more.

Pioneered the e-shisha pen in Bristol, with outlets in clubs and retailers throughout Bristol.

Providing Project Management services for a spectrum of clients in the charity and retail sectors.  

Consult with clients on artwork/creative specifications, print requirements, data quality and postage to provide the most appropriate solution.

Manage the postal accounts of clients to provide discounts on postage prices, ensuring they are using the most applicable service to maximise the savings they can achieve.  Currently R1 is responsible for posting c100million mailpacks per year.

Coordinate client data cleansing and audits.  We’ll check the clients database against the 347 million trusted suppression records that we use to highlight any data integrity issues such as...

Customers that have moved address
Incorrect or incomplete names and addresses
Duplicate names and addresses
Individuals who have requested not to receive cold direct mail through the Mailing Preference Service (MPS)
Customers that have moved and can be re-addressed

This saves clients money not only on production, but postage, improving the campaigns ROI and also enhancing the brand image.

Work to, and assist in the production of client budgets, understanding their final campaign aim and maximising the potential ROI by utilising our extensive network of suppliers and negotiating the best prices in the marketplace.

Responsible for managing direct mail projects for Lloyds Banking Group.  This involves managing the clients high expecations ensuring the projects run smoothly and that all stakeholders are suitably informed at all times.  To ensure the projects run smoothly the core element of the role is to coordinate external suppliers through the DM supply chain including printers and mailing houses from project briefing through to completion, managing the costs and schedule as required.

Houkara is Bristols number one shisha lounge that offers the best shisha experience in the South West.  Alongside shisha we also offer ice creams from the award winning Yarde Farm and ice cream based milkshakes as well as teas, coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks.

As one third of the ownership team I have worked with the other partners and come to democratic decisions on all areas of the business.  From painting and decorating, to marketing, accounitng, project management, and law I have been involved in all fascades of the business to make it Bristols most regarded shisha lounge with a dedicated customer base.

Some examples of experiences in setting up Houkara were:

Dealing with legal aspects like applying for planning permission, change of uses, business formation.

Financial aspects like daily and montly cash flow as well as sourcing finance, preparing financial accounts for the business plan, supplier management including negotiations.

Marketing management from creating the brand image, ensuring the branding is adhered to, managing marketing communications and increase brand awareness to our target market through various means.

Operational management involving business processes and staff managment.

Procurement duties and supplier management to ensure the business has stock held at all times and ensuring these are purchased at the most competitive price.

Manage and coordinate document direct mail campaigns for clients working closely with the client, programmers, and printers to complete the mailing to the highest standard and on schedule.

Completed accurate briefs ensuring requirements are adhered to for international mail for downstream access and suitable postal suppliers are chosen.

Producing accurate quotations, manage budgets, and coordinate external suppliers.

Create invoices and ensure work is accounted for and within budget.

Work to client timelines to ensure campaigns arrive on required drop dates.

Processing of documents including dividends  and share plans.

Manage multiple pieces of work and delegation of work.

Producing quotations and ensuring project budgets are not exceeded.

Manage stock and place orders when necessary.

Adhering to strict FSA regulations and internal processes.

Analysis of all proxy jobs completed by Computershare Client Services in relation to specific criteria and production of management report.
