Former heavy equipment operator educated as a Holistic Nutritionist turned Software Engineer building for a peer-to-peer future; I bring with me a unique perspective on life and software. Experience and struggle have developed my disciplined and mission-focused mindset. I have experience building full-stack web applications using JavaScript, React, and Node.JS, as well as Docker and Bitcoin Core. From reading books like Mastering Bitcoin, Mastering Lightning, and Programming Bitcoin as well as listening to hundreds of hours of podcasts like Bitcoin.Review, Cafe Bitcoin, Bitcoin Audible, and Nostrovia I have a deep understanding of bitcoin's technology and importance. I enjoy writing clean and functional code, to build projects that help deepen my understanding of new technologies. I bring my skills as a software engineer to decentralized technologies like bitcoin and self-hosting that have so much potential to reshape the world we live in. I want to make a real impact on the way that people interact with their data and their money. Through exploring myself and things like working on a farm in Maui or going to Alaska to be a hunting guide, I have developed discipline. This discipline comes from those experiences being the most physically and mentally difficult times of my life, paired with my drive to make an impact. I value a depth of knowledge and understanding, transparency, and resilience. Outside of my time writing code and learning about bitcoin, I enjoy rock climbing, yoga, fitness, and surfing.
