I am the Founder and CEO of Lean Focus and Co-Founder and CMO of WiLL Alliance, with over 25 years of experience in implementing lean business systems across various industries, including private equity, aerospace/defense, automotive, and more. I’ve held leadership roles at companies like Danaher, Coltala Holdings, HNI, Eaton, Argo Consulting, Experian, and Winegard. My expertise stems from training by disciples of the Toyota Production System and working in a Shingo Prize-winning facility. I’ve also served as a Shingo Prize Examiner. Throughout my career, I’ve led and facilitated over 500 kaizen events with over 100 major corporations in 19 different countries. I had significant responsibilities within Danaher, including overseeing the Danaher Business System (DBS) for global Danaher Corporation and Danaher’s Product Identification Platform, which won “Best Plant in the World” for two consecutive years. I also played a key role in developing Danaher’s company-wide Problem-Solving Process. Inspired by my experiences, I created the Lean Focus Business System™, a comprehensive approach that goes beyond Lean, helping over ~600 organizations improve on all fronts. This system has become the foundation of Lean Focus and is transforming businesses worldwide for long-term success. My industry experience spans private equity, aerospace/defense, automotive, electronics, capital equipment, chemicals, and more. My specialties include building and installing problem-solving and kaizen cultures, operational due diligence, acquisition integration, strategic planning, sales force efficiency tools, pricing margin analysis, and various lean methodologies, such as 6S, standardized work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and more.
